Over the weekend, our Evansville chapter hosted our first-ever Orr Pickleball Tournament at Wesselman Tennis Center!

Fellows spent the morning competing in doubles, taking on mini games, cheering each other on, and enjoying plenty of friendly competition along the way. Whether you came ready to win or just wanted to have a good time on the court, there was something for everyone.

Congratulations to Andrew Worthington and Warren Halbig for taking home the championship and some awesome Onyx swag! A huge thank you to Escalade Sports for helping make the tournament possible and providing prizes for our winners.

But the best part of the day wasn’t just the competition. Events like this give our Fellows the opportunity to step outside of their day-to-day routines, meet Fellows they may not interact with regularly, and create the connections that make the Orr community so special.

From the first serve to the final point, it was a great morning filled with competition, conversation, and plenty of laughs.

We’ll see you on the courts next year!

This week, we hosted our July Business Leadership Speaker Series: Where Healthcare Is Going and Growing.

Evansville Fellows had the opportunity to hear from leaders at Deaconess Health System about leadership, growth, innovation, and the value of taking thoughtful risks. Their insights offered a meaningful look at what it takes to lead with purpose and make a lasting impact.

One takeaway that especially resonated with Fellow Gracie Davidson, EIT CL’26, was: “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.”

As Gracie shared, “It reminded me that true success often comes from slowing down and building real relationships.”

We’re grateful to our outstanding speakers for investing in the next generation of leaders:

Shawn McCoy
Linda White
Jared Antczak

Thank you for sharing your experiences, wisdom, and encouragement with our Fellows. We appreciate your time and your commitment to developing future leaders in our community.

A Brics run is practically an Orr Fellowship tradition. 🍦

For years, Brics Ice Cream in Broad Ripple has been a favorite gathering spot for our fellows—whether it’s a weekly ice cream stop, catching up with friends, or spending summer evenings on the iconic front porch.

Last week at the Mark & Karen Hill Alumni Reception, Brics generously donated an Ice Cream Social for our raffle, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their support.

Thank you, Brics, for investing in our community. We’re proud to continue supporting a local business that has supported the Orr Fellowship for so many years. 💙
