Threshing & cleaning tartary buckwheat, the traditional variety used to make French-Canadian/Acadian ployes. Maine Grain Alliance got the seed in 2023 from Father Paul Dumais, whose family had grown it in Maine for generations, and this year is our largest harvest yet. Take look as Richard passes the harvested buckwheat through the thresher to remove stems/larger plant bit, then through the clipper cleaner to clean the seed from the chaff.
