We have a few spots left in our 2-Day Intro to Whitewater Kayaking program THIS WEEKEND on the West Branch of the Penobscot River.

Includes:

Instruction & guiding
Kayak, paddle, helmet, PFD
Transportation & gear transport

This programs is ideal for participants looking for meaningful learning, confidence, and community.

No prior whitewater experience is required, but participants should be comfortable in water and able to swim. Full itinerary will be sent 1 week in advance of this program

Skowhegan Outdoors had the great opportunity to help out with Overman Academy’s Adventure Club end of year camping trip at the Flagstaff Lake Hut with Maine Huts & Trails. This was an awesome opportunity for these learners to try something new, practice their hiking skills, and have a positive outdoor experience! It’s been a great semester and we hope to continue this amazing partnership in the fall!

I'm back from studying in Nepal, and looking forward to resuming work with Pure Outdoors next week, scheduled Recovery Yoga at ROAR in Skowhegan, and free yoga with Skowhegan Outdoors!

Join me for the upcoming retreat at Live From Love Center, June 12-14th. Guruji is coming from the Paramanand Institute of Yoga Science and Research,India, and this is an event NOT to be missed. Register for one workshop of the whole weekend. We're coordinating a carpool, so message me if you'd like to attend one or all sessions, and I'll see how I can help.

August brings the Seva workshop with Somerset Woods Trustees.

Skowhegan Outdoors brought a group from Build Maine out on the Skowhegan Gorge for a pre-conference paddle this morning and it was a treat. One of the best ways to see Skowhegan is from the water! Big thanks to the Build Maine crew for getting out there with us.

Think summer camp , but instead of just having fun, your kid comes home knowing how to paddle whitewater, shred a mountain bike trail, or land a fish. That’s the Youth Summer Learning Series, and we only have a few spots left across our 2026 programs!

Six weeks of hands-on outdoor adventure running June 29 through August 26, completely free — gear, food, and transportation included.

Programs include Pedal & Paddle, Learn to Whitewater Kayak, Learn to Mountain Bike, Fishing & Paddling, and Intermediate Whitewater Paddling.
