They’re college students who choose to spend their time showing up for the next generation of Jewish teens. ❤️

Our volunteer advisors build relationships, lead by example, and help create the kind of Jewish experiences that stay with teens long after an event ends.

Advisor training gives them the tools, support, and inspiration to do that even better.

We invest in our advisors because they invest so much in our teens. And we truly couldn’t do it without them. 💙

Thanks to our Advisor Coordinator Ari Needle and Regional Director Shosh Friedman for running an incredible training today, setting up our advisors for a great year ahead 🔥

Shabbat Shabang brought KC teens and some of their favorite advisors together for a Shabbos worth looking forward to all week. 💙
Advisors flew in to share the experience, and teens could choose their own Shabbat lineup: dinner, lunch, Motzei Shabbat, or all of it! However they joined, there was a place for them to connect, catch up, and make Shabbat memories together.
Already counting down to the next one! 🙌

36 JSU club presidents. 13 schools. So many ideas for what comes next. 💡

At the JSU Twin Cities Teen Leadership Summit, 36 student leaders came together at the Mall of America to tackle a big question: How do you make your JSU club a place where Jewish teens want to show up, get involved, and feel connected?

From races encouraging teamwork to a BopIt time management module, Cake Wars where the cakes helped bring their vision for their clubs to life 🎂 to an “Unconference” where teens discussed different challenges and opportunities in small groups, every activity was designed to help presidents turn ideas into action.

The teens were treated to a special sessions with John Ghermezian, Chief Business Officer of Mall of America and friend of JSU, for a special session on proudly living our Jewish values.

Led by jsu.twincities Directors Mindy and Sara Rina, the day was about more than planning meetings or running clubs. It was about equipping teens to create Jewish experiences, build community, and make their schools a place where more Jewish teens feel connected.

Because when you invest in teen leaders, you invest in everything they’ll go on to build. 💙

🍬📖 Lots to cover when we meet at JSU!

In honor of Simchat Torah, celebrated at the end of Sukkot, JSU at ETHS got creative with Candy Torahs—because Torah is indeed SWEET! 🍭📜

And just like that, we roll the Torah all the way back to the beginning: Bereish*t! 🌎✨

This week, students explored the seven days of Creation by bringing the parsha to life with… playdough! 🎨👐

From Candy Torahs to Playdough Creation, JSU is making Torah learning hands-on, creative, and something teens can experience together. 💙🔥

🌭 Hut Dogs. Never gets old.

jsu_saintlouis teens hung out in Rabbi Staum’s sukkah with Yossi and Sam, eating hot dogs, enjoying some seriously good food and even better company.
What made the Sukkot hangout extra was the dvar Torah shared by teens and the food grilled by teens!

There’s something special about Simchat Torah—the dancing, the singing, the energy, and the feeling of being part of something bigger than yourself. 🔥

For our teens, Jewish life isn’t just something they learn about. It’s something they experience, celebrate, and make their own.

As we begin the Torah again, here’s to another year of learning, growing, questioning, connecting, and finding your place in our story. 📖
