Last week, LOSA members were invited to perform a concert of Czech music by Czech composers as part of Czech Heritage week! And such a delight to have friends from Chicago Lyric Opera Orchestra joining us!!! It was such an honor to bring this gorgeous and really interesting music to this audience!! We presented songs, arias and instrumental pieces by Czech composers Dvorak, Janacek, Smetana, Haas, and Martinu. It was really an outstanding evening showing the diversity of music written by Czech composers! Special thanks to all of our artists including clarinetist, Susan Warner and cellist, William Cernota! And another huge thanks to Mary Cunningham who invited us! It was truly a joy to be part of your celebration!

Such a beautiful evening of music making by these amazingly talented artists at The Merion last night! Our gracious audience was treated to some extraordinary singing of some opera favorites and possibly NEW favorites as well as some lighter tunes and an Irish Blessing to wrap up the evening! It was a great joy to bring such high quality artistry to our friends and we look forward to returning later this year! Special thanks to Tammy Potts for inviting us and to the music committee for making us feel so welcome! ♥️
