Is it time for a scenic drive around Montgomery Township?
Take a ride through our community to enjoy the charm of historic barns, preserved farms, and public art you can see from your car!
Our barn quilts are easy to spot from the road because of how large they are... 8'x8' or 11.5'x11.5' (when turned on point).
There is one exception: the Fiori barn quilt, seen from Hobler Park (to the left when you pull into the park). It's well worth stretching your legs for—just follow the short loop trail, and you'll spot it at the top of a very gentle rise.
Sunday's forecast is sunny and beautiful. ☀️ A perfect day to set aside a little time to explore and appreciate these hidden gems in your own neighborhood.
And a friendly reminder: four of the barn quilts are on private property. Please respect the owners' boundaries by remaining in your car, safely pulled off to the side of the road while viewing. Please don't venture onto their land.
The six stops on the Barn Quilt Trail, starting at the north end of the trail, are:
👉 Belle Mead Co-Op: 100 Township Line Rd, Hillsborough
👉 Hidden Springs Lavender Farm: 890 Route 601, Skillman
👉 Pariso Farm: end of Fairview Rd (near Skillman Rd), Skillman
👉 Fiori Barn: Hobler Park, 1645 Great Rd, Skillman
👉 Agridor Farm: 110 Skillman Rd, Skillman
👉 Matthews Farm: 28 Rutland Rd, Belle Mead
More will be added over the next several years, so stay tuned!
The Barn Quilt Trail of Central Jersey was developed & created by Catalytic Arts Incubator, a 501(c)3 NJ nonprofit. It was made possible by funds from the Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, and sponsorship by the Wess Family, the Blodgett Family, a private donor, and several other community donors.
