Agridor Farm sits quietly on a tucked-away road—houses on either side, a stretch of preserved land across the way. You might almost miss it, with its beautifully restored barn and home, set back from the road, blending into the trees.

It speaks of another time—a slower pace, a way of life deeply connected to the land. Felipe Bermudez Durana's "Compass Road in Field of Gold" captures the feeling: rooted yet open, honoring the past while pointing toward the future. ✨

As a friendly reminder: this barn quilt is on private property. Please enjoy it from your car, safely pulled over to the side of the road. Respecting the owners keeps the barn quilt trail welcoming for everyone.

If you start the trail at the northernmost point (for now 😁), you'll see the only commercial location on our Barn Quilt Trail, the Belle Mead Co-Op, a cornerstone of the region’s agricultural life for over a century. It was originally established by local farmers seeking to pool resources and support each other - acting as a hub for feed, grain, and farming supplies across Central Jersey.

Continuing this mission today, the Co-Op has expanded its offerings to also serve as a bustling resource for community gardeners, homeowners and professional landscapers.

The large and dramatic 1860s Pariso barn is the perfect match for Kate Eggleston's bold design. Even better—the owner has lights above it, adding a striking touch of evening drama!

📍Corner of Fairview Road and Skillman Road, in Skillman NJ.

There's a special addition on this site: Penny loved another of Kate's designs so much that a smaller barn quilt was created for the nearby pump house (also visible from the road). This smaller design appears as the cornerstones of the main barn quilt and was inspired by a treasured family heirloom—a quilt passed down through generations of the Pariso family. 💜

The only piece on our barn quilt trail that is seen better by getting out of your car and taking a short walk... the historic Fiori barn as seen from the top of the path in Hobler Park, Skillman NJ.

Well worth the walk. ✨

You'll see some wonderful sculpture along the way, and you might also see the goats if they decide to come out for a visit. 😁

We love that local artist Sumi () posted this reel!

If you take a drive to visit the Barn Quilt Trail sites, send us the pics or reels and we'll repost them! What a great way to experience history, agriculture, and art from the comfort of your car!

Don't forget, to access the piece on the Fiori barn, you'll need to drive into Hobler Park (and take a short easy walk up to the Fiori's fencerow).

Thanks Sumi! 💜

Is it time for a scenic drive around Montgomery Township?

Take a ride through our community to enjoy the charm of historic barns, preserved farms, and public art you can see from your car!

Our barn quilts are easy to spot from the road because of how large they are... 8'x8' or 11.5'x11.5' (when turned on point).

There is one exception: the Fiori barn quilt, seen from Hobler Park (to the left when you pull into the park). It's well worth stretching your legs for—just follow the short loop trail, and you'll spot it at the top of a very gentle rise.

Sunday's forecast is sunny and beautiful. ☀️ A perfect day to set aside a little time to explore and appreciate these hidden gems in your own neighborhood.

And a friendly reminder: four of the barn quilts are on private property. Please respect the owners' boundaries by remaining in your car, safely pulled off to the side of the road while viewing. Please don't venture onto their land.

The six stops on the Barn Quilt Trail, starting at the north end of the trail, are:

👉 Belle Mead Co-Op: 100 Township Line Rd, Hillsborough
👉 Hidden Springs Lavender Farm: 890 Route 601, Skillman
👉 Pariso Farm: end of Fairview Rd (near Skillman Rd), Skillman
👉 Fiori Barn: Hobler Park, 1645 Great Rd, Skillman
👉 Agridor Farm: 110 Skillman Rd, Skillman
👉 Matthews Farm: 28 Rutland Rd, Belle Mead

More will be added over the next several years, so stay tuned!

The Barn Quilt Trail of Central Jersey was developed & created by Catalytic Arts Incubator, a 501(c)3 NJ nonprofit. It was made possible by funds from the Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, and sponsorship by the Wess Family, the Blodgett Family, a private donor, and several other community donors.
