The Skaneateles Fire Department is a volunteer organization that protects the Town and Village of Skaneateles NY. The department was formed in 1833 and now has about 100 members and is always looking for more.

Monday nights training was auto extrication with a vehicle turned over on its side. Members trained on patient extrication techniques, cutting tools, including HURST ram tools, spreaders and cutters. On behalf of the entire department and the community we serve, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to the Skaneateles Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. For Monday's monthly, meeting the ladies auxiliary cooked an amazing pasta dinner for the membership. Their hard work behind the scenes is invaluable. The ladies auxiliary do not always get the publicity they deserve. These wonderful women support the fire department and the community in countless ways.Amazing job by everyone!
