Congratulations to the new officers of Skaneateles Lodge 522 who were installed Wednesday, June 3rd. RW Bill Toth, Grand Jr. Warden of the Grand Lodge of NY was the Installing Officer.

While our labors are winding down for the year, there will still be Masonic activities taking place throughout the Onondaga District, as well as social events on the porch of our beautiful Lodge building.

The end of year celebration, a joint Dinner Cruise with the Charles H. Platt Royal Arch Chapter will take place on Wednesday, June 24th at 5:30 PM. Please let W. John Covell or W. Mark Kulik know if you would like to join us.

Lodge members and their families will be walking in the Skaneateles 4th of July Parade to celebrate the 250th anniversary of this great nation. Skaneateles Lodge 522 is also a proud sponsor of the Fireworks that will take place at Austin Park on the 4th, donating $1776!

Finally, from our newly elected Grand Master, MW Robert L. Hogan, Jr. “Freemasonry is a worldwide fraternity comprised of extraordinary gentlemen. We shouldn’t just practice that while only within the walls of our Lodge rooms or at Masonic events. We must let our light shine and live our lives accordingly so that anyone looking will know that for us, it’s Freemasonry – All Day / Every Day"

Have a great summer everyone!

On Wednesday, May 20th, 2026, the Brothers of Skaneateles Lodge proudly presented the Dewitt Clinton Award to Dr. Bill Nichols, DVM of Skaneateles for his years of service to the community.

The DeWitt Clinton Award honors exceptional voluntary community service by non-Masonic individuals or organizations, reflecting the values of service and civic responsibility exemplified by DeWitt Clinton.

In his remarks, Dr. Nichols credited much of his success as both a man and veterinarian to the guidance and influence on his late Father, Dr. William Nichols, DVM, and the late Dr. Bruce Widger, DVM, Past Grand Master of Masons of the State of NY.

Congratulations, Doc, on this well-deserved honor. Your commitment to others, along with the love and support of your wonderful family, continues to make your community proud.

Patrick Corbett '21 is an engineer at SRC and an Industrial Electricity professor at Onondaga Community College. He is pictured in front of the Micron Cleanroom Simulation Lab in OCC's Whitney Applied Technology Center.

On the surface, Patrick Corbett ’21 might seem like an unlikely college professor. He dropped out of college twice before finding his path. Today, however, those struggles have shaped him into an energetic and passionate Industrial Electricity professor at his alma mater, Onondaga
Community College.
