Meet the Board: Joe Fiala

As Interim President & CEO of South Dakota Trade and a leader with the South Dakota Governor’s Office of Economic Development, Joe Fiala brings more than 25 years of experience in business and economic development to the organization’s Board of Directors.

Throughout his career, Joe has focused on creating new opportunities for South Dakota businesses and communities through economic development, business growth, entrepreneurship, project management, and public-private partnerships. His leadership helps connect South Dakota companies with the resources and support they need to succeed both domestically and internationally.

Serving as an ex-officio board member and Interim President & CEO, Joe is helping guide South Dakota Trade through its next chapter while continuing to advance the organization’s mission of strengthening South Dakota’s global trade presence.

We’re grateful for Joe’s leadership and commitment to creating opportunity across South Dakota.

This Summit will highlight the strength of South Dakota’s manufacturing industry, the opportunities ahead, and the importance of connecting our businesses with markets around the world. We’re excited for a great day of conversation, collaboration and looking toward what’s next for South Dakota.
