Sales & Marketing Executives Inc., of Sioux Falls (SME) is an association of sales and marketing management professionals. The SME Sioux Falls organization -- started more than 40 years ago – includes a rich history of executives dedicated to advancing sales and marketing excellence. SME promotes local educational and meeting opportunities to improve sales and marketing management skills through workshops, newsletters, interesting meetings, events and idea-sharing discussions. SME members include CEOs, marketing managers, sales managers and other senior level executives who contribute to the advancement of sales and marketing management.

Several SME members volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House today. Together, they made a difference by helping with a variety of projects, including:

• Sorting and organizing items for the “Pull It Together” pop tab campaign.

• Harvesting from the garden, filling planters with compost, and preparing fresh vegetables and garden items for the kitchen.

• Vacuuming and cleaning the basement area.

• Sorting donations and organizing event materials.

Ronald McDonald House provides a place of comfort, connection, and support for families whose children need medical care away from home. Families can stay close to their children, share meals, rest, and connect with others going through similar experiences—all at no cost. No family is turned away because of their financial situation. Since 1983, the organization has welcomed more than 21,600 families at its Sioux Falls Houses, providing over 156,000 nights of comfort, care, and community.

Every volunteer makes a difference in helping families focus on what matters most: being there for their children.

Congratulations to Anna (Rose) Jensen on her nomination for the Rising in Excellence Award at the Sioux Falls Leadership Summit!

Anna’s impact is built on a willingness to step in, learn and help move things forward. At the Washington Pavilion of Arts & Science, she plays an important role in strengthening relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers and community partners who help make the organization’s work possible. Anna’s nomination letter explained, “She looks for opportunities to contribute, learn and make the organization around her stronger.”

What stands out most is that Anna does not limit herself to the responsibilities in front of her. She looks for ways to contribute, asks thoughtful questions and takes on new challenges with a team-first mindset. Whether she is supporting a major event, helping with donor stewardship or stepping into a project that needs extra leadership, she brings care, energy and follow-through.

Anna is still early in her career, but she is already showing the kind of curiosity, initiative and relationship-building skills that create lasting impact.

Congratulations to Anna on her nomination for the Rising in Excellence Award at the Sioux Falls Leadership Summit!

Anna’s impact is defined by growth, not just in the programs she leads, but in the people and organizations around her. At the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce, she has taken on increasing responsibility while helping guide major initiatives, strengthen teams and create momentum across the organization.

That same ability to bring people together is especially visible through her work with Sioux Empire United Way. As a board member and Volunteer United Chair, Anna helped significantly expand volunteer engagement and launched Day of Action, creating a powerful way for businesses, nonprofits and individuals to serve the community together.

Anna leads with trust, collaboration and high expectations, but also with a genuine belief that everyone has something valuable to contribute. Anna’s nomination letter stated, “Our employees and volunteers are drawn to her energy, and she consistently brings out the best in others.” Whether she is mentoring, volunteering or leading through change, she creates opportunities for others to grow alongside her.
