Tonight, our friends at will be hosting a race at beginning at 5:00 p.m.

To ensure a safe experience for racers, parts of the FAST Great Bear trail system will be closed to public trail use during the event. We appreciate everyone's cooperation and understanding.

Even if you're not racing, there's plenty of reason to come out! Stick around for Chill on the Hill, enjoy a great evening at Great Bear, cheer on the racers, and take in the excitement as riders tackle the trails.

Whether you're lining up at the start line or relaxing with friends and family, it's a great night to be part of the Sioux Falls cycling community.

Good luck to all the racers, and thank you to Sioux Falls Bike Racing and Great Bear for supporting local mountain biking!

Join FAST on Thursday, May 28, at 6 p.m. for a trail maintenance session at Leaders Park.

This week’s focus will be trimming and pruning back branches to help keep the sight clear, safe, and rideable for everyone.

The group will be meeting at the main trailhead.
No tools are required, but we recommend bringing water, gloves, and eye protection, and wearing long pants and closed-toe shoes.

Come ready to dig in for a good cause. Every bit of work helps keep our local singletrack in great shape.

Big thanks to everyone who came out Thursday night at Tuthill to help tackle trail maintenance with FAST. Volunteers spent the evening addressing erosion issues, clearing problem areas, and replacing missing signage to help keep the trails safe, sustainable, and riding great for everyone.

Huge thanks to Brad and Jim for leading the effort and to everyone who grabbed tools and pitched in. Every work night like this makes a real impact on the trails we all enjoy.

Join FAST for a trail maintenance night at Tuthill on Thursday, May 14, at 6 p.m., led by Brad and Jim. The crew will be working to address erosion issues, replace missing trail signage, and help keep the trails riding their best heading into the season.

The group will meet at the lower parking lot trailhead before heading out to project areas around the park.

No trail work experience needed — bring gloves, water, and closed-toe shoes. FAST will provide tools, direction, and everything else you need.

Trail maintenance nights are one of the biggest ways our local riding community helps protect and improve the trail system, and every extra set of hands makes a real impact.

Phase 1 of The Great Trail Build just hit another major milestone. 🤘

The final section of professionally built trail for Phase 1 is officially open at Great Bear, adding even more flow, progression, and trail experience to the system. What started as a vision for better trails in Sioux Falls is becoming something riders of all ages and skill levels can experience firsthand.

But we’re not done yet.

Phase 2 is where things start getting even bigger — including plans for more advanced downhill-focused lines, expanded progression features, and the next evolution of riding at Great Bear.

If you’ve ridden the trails, shared the stoke, volunteered, donated, or supported FAST in any way, thank you. This project only moves forward because of this community.

We’re hanging out at Gear & Beer at the Great Outdoor Store starting at 11 today 🍻🚲 🥾

Come spend the day with us and check out everything happening throughout the event including live music, local vendors, games, classes, and food trucks all day long. Whether you want to talk trails, bikes, upcoming FAST events, or just hang out with fellow outdoor-minded people, swing by and say hey.
