Have you ever felt like God had the wrong person?

Tomorrow, we’ll look at Jesus’ final words in Matthew and discover why His calling does not depend on having every answer or feeling completely ready.

Join us tomorrow at Ransom, and bring someone with you.
Sunday gatherings: 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00.

You can spend your whole life around church and still need to personally receive the mercy of Jesus.

Knowing the stories and being a good person can’t rescue us from sin. We need a Savior.

Take a moment to consider what Jesus has done for you. Let yourself feel grateful. The love we extend to others begins with the love we’ve received from Him.

Remembering what Jesus has done for us changes the questions we ask.

We begin looking for opportunities to love instead of looking for the limits of our responsibility.

He came into our brokenness and gave everything to rescue us. As we live in gratitude for that mercy, we learn to move toward others with compassion.

What’s one practical way you could be a better neighbor this week?

Jesus came close to the people others kept their distance from.

In the Good Samaritan story, we see a picture of His mercy: moving toward the wounded, taking on the cost, and caring for someone who couldn’t save himself.

That’s what He has done for us.

Who might you be keeping at a distance that Jesus is calling you to love?

Some of the most meaningful moments in ministry happen when nobody's watching.

A conversation after a gathering. A prayer in a difficult season. A word of encouragement at just the right time. The countless ways our team shows up for people.

This Pastor Appreciation Month, we're celebrating our entire Ransom staff. Every person plays a part in helping people encounter Jesus and experience the freedom found in Him.

We're grateful for the way they love, lead, serve, and faithfully pursue our mission of Setting Captives Free.

Ransom family, help us celebrate them! Who on our staff has made an impact on your life? Share a story or a word of encouragement in the comments.

Want to get to know the team? We'll drop the link in the comments!

Jesus didn’t wait for us to get our lives together before He came for us.

While we were still sinners—still helpless, still unable to save ourselves—He gave His life for us.

That’s how deeply you’re loved. His mercy reaches us right where we need rescuing.

Take a moment today to thank Him for coming for you.

What if you’ve been putting yourself in the wrong place in the story?

We often hear the Good Samaritan as a challenge to help others. But before we consider who we should help, we need to recognize our own need for rescue.

We can’t earn eternal life through enough good deeds. We depend on the mercy of Jesus.

Where are you still trying to prove you’re good enough for God?

It’s easy to hear the Good Samaritan story and ask, “Am I doing enough to help?”

But first, consider the person who couldn’t help himself.

That’s where our story begins, too. Jesus came near when we were helpless and gave everything to rescue us. The compassion we extend starts with the mercy we’ve received.

Who could you move toward this week because Jesus moved toward you?
