You're invited to the ASCE Joint Meeting of the ASCE Iowa Section and the ASCE Dordt Student Chapter on Thursday, October 15. The meeting project focus is the recent renovation to the Rozenboom Family Athletic Center on Dordt's campus. The event will feature a project tour at the Rozenboom beginning at 4 pm followed by a reception time (5:15), banquet (6:00), and project presentation (6:30) all out at Dordt's Ag Stewardship Center. The tour is free; registration ($25) is required for the banquet and presentation and will include 1 PDH. We hope you'll consider participating in this unique opportunity to engage a recent project on Dordt's campus and interact with Dordt students and the ASCE Iowa Section board!

Region 7 Assembly is returning to Wyoming 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

🤠 Region 7 is headed to Wyoming!

Join in Laramie this September for the 2026 Region 7 Annual Assembly, hosted at the University of Wyoming! Region leaders, members, and students will come together for a weekend of connection, collaboration, and planning for the future of Region 7.

Along the way, attendees will experience University of Wyoming campus tours, student engagement and roundtable discussions, Region 7 leadership and business sessions, and some uniquely Wyoming activities — with an optional Sunday morning hike at Vedauwoo! Each Section will be reimbursed by Region 7 for one delegate to attend the Assembly.

📌What: Virtual PDH Meeting
📌Topic: MnDOT Digital Delivery - Removing standard plan sheets from the bidding/construction process

Please join the South Dakota Section virtually on Thursday, May 21st at 12:00PM CDT to hear how MnDOT has been advancing in the digital delivery realm. Laura Carlson, MnDOT District 2 Design Engineer, will present on District 2's goal of reducing plan sheets to a minimum and producing contractual digital models.

The project consists of constructing a skewed, triple-barrel box culvert (1-14'x14', 2-12'x12') on MN Highway 92 in Northwest Minnesota. The project was let on April 22nd, with the pdf plans consisting of 13 sheets along with 6 box culvert sheets. MnDOT provided .dgn files, which were certified, for contractors to use while putting the bid together. There were no regular construction plans provided, other than the title sheet, typical section and tables of standard plates and plans.
