We partnered with WM last week on a visit to Eugene Field A+ Elementary School for a session with students on waste diversion and recycling locally!

Thank you to school staff for hosting us! Educational days like these give students the opportunity to ask questions about what happens to materials placed in the bin and to rethink the way they look at waste.

Our BINfluencer team returned to Harrisburg Endeavor Elementary this season to meet with 4th graders and talk all about recycling materials locally! ♻

Thank you to their teacher for inviting us to present to the class while these students were learning about nonrenewable and renewable resources! We were thrilled to be a part of their ongoing learning and show them one of the many ways they can conserve resources, right in their own neighborhoods.

3...2...1...GO! ♻🏃💨 We were at SDSU this week for the annual Big Sioux Water Festival! Classes from across the area arrived for a fun day full of presentations and activities focused on ways we can protect our environment and one of our most precious resources—water. 💧

Thank you to all of the volunteers present to guide students, teachers, and presenters alike and to the university for hosting us all for the Festival's 34th year!

Thank you to the Washington Pavilion for inviting us to partake in their STEM in Action after-school program and to Whittier Middle School staff for hosting us! We had a wonderful time talking sustainability and waste diversion with the middle schoolers and, afterwards, testing recycling knowledge with a little relay race! ♻️🏃

Programs like these encourage and give students the chance to learn how they can have a positive influence on the environment and their neighborhoods.

River-view race to recycle at the 16th Missouri River Watershed School Festival in Yankton! 🏃💨 We got to meet students from across Nebraska and South Dakota for a morning full of activities focused on sustainability, environmental stewardship, and, of course, waste diversion! A big thank you to all the schools, presenters, and organizers who make this possible each year!
