JOB OPPORTUNITY

Bring your creative vision and design expertise to South Dakota State University! The School of Design invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Practice of Interior Design. We are seeking a collaborative educator with a strong foundation in interior design or interior architecture and specialized expertise in one or more content areas such as materials, computer aided design software (Revit, Sketchup, Enscape), codes and regulations, design expertise in a curricular studio area (commercial, hospitality, education, civic, health care, residential). This position is located in Brookings, South Dakota and is a tenure-track, 9-month, full-time, benefits-eligible position.

• Meet our SDID Board Program Coordinator, Marcia •

Marcia is an Account Manager/Interior Designer at Interstate Office Products. She is a proud graduate of Iowa State University and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design. Marcia specializes in corporate and healthcare projects. She loves working with her clients to create inspiring spaces that promote a sense of wellbeing and efficiency in the workplace. She has been involved in SDID for 20+ years. Marcia is excited to help plan events that connect SDID members, foster collaboration, and strengthen our design community.

• Meet our SDID Board President Elect, Erica •

Erica is the Interior Design Lead at Interstate Office Products, where she has been a key member of the team for nine years. She graduated from South Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design, minor in Studio Arts, & a Graphic Design Certificate. Erica has been actively involved with SDID since beginning her career and values the way the organization creates connections and strengthens relationships within the design community. Erica is eager to continue contributing to SDID as President Elect!

President Elect duties includes serving a three year term starting as President Elect, moving to President in the second year, and finish as Past President for the third year. While serving in the President Elect role, they are in charge of planning and ex*****on of the membership and sponsorship drive.
