Juneteenth represents the liberation and resilience of Black people in America. It is a day of celebration and a time to reflect on our unfinished fight for the freedom, joy, and rights that have never been handed to us. And we continue to fight for these things today, just like our ancestors before us, because true freedom happens through our resistance, our votes, and our commitment to a better, just future.

Celebrate with us!

Today, we celebrate Black freedom.

Juneteenth reminds us of the strength, resilience, and determination of those who came before us and the responsibility we share to continue building a more just future.

May we honor the legacy of our ancestors not only through reflection, but through action — in our work, in our communities, at the polls and beyond.

Happy !

in 1957, the U.S. House of Representatives approved the Civil Rights Act of 1957, the first major civil rights legislation in decades.

The act established a Civil Rights Division within the Department of Justice and aimed to safeguard voting rights for all Americans, among other protections. President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed it into law three months later.
