Join APTA South Dakota on June 23 at 12:00 PM CST for a Lunch & Learn focused on the new legislation that authorizes physical therapists to certify disability parking placards in South Dakota.

A huge and heartfelt thank you to Senator Rounds for agreeing to lead sponsorship of the Senate legislation to add physical therapists to the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment program and Community Health Centers (CHCs).

This is a major win for South Dakota—not only expanding access to care in our rural and underserved communities, but also creating critical loan repayment opportunities for PTs. This support is truly transformational for our state, our future workforce, and the patients we serve. We are deeply grateful for Senator Rounds’ leadership and commitment to PT and our state's health and wellness. 🇺🇸💙

Huge thank you to Representative Dusty Johnson for always supporting PT and caring about the health and wellness of our communities in rural areas.

Johnson quickly agreed to co-sponsor Physical Therapist Workforce and Patient Access Act (HR 5621). This is legislation to add physical therapists to the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment program and Community Health Centers (CHCs).
