New Mentoring Opportunity: MWI Health – Pathways to Healing & Resilience Program

Sioux 52 is excited to promote a new mentoring opportunity through our partner, MWI Health.
They are seeking compassionate mentors to support youth ages 15–19 who are navigating challenging circumstances, including involvement in gun-related offenses.

About the Opportunity:
Mentors will facilitate small group sessions (5–10 participants), helping create a safe, supportive space focused on growth, accountability, and healing.

Time Commitment:
One session every three weeks
3:30–5:30 PM
MWI Health – 317 Main St., Downtown Sioux Falls

Program Approach:
This work is grounded in a strengths-based, trauma-informed framework, emphasizing connection, trust, and resilience.

Who We’re Looking For:
Individuals who are compassionate, consistent, and committed to positive youth development. Those with lived experience are strongly encouraged to apply, as authentic connection is a key part of this work.

The Glory House peer mentor program serves to pair up clients who need an additional support network while they transition into a healthier lifestyle. Some of the current mentors have experience with recovery from drugs and alcohol, life in prison, having family members with addiction issues, or are simply living a faith-based life. The common thread with all the mentors is that they have a desire to help people become better than they were in the past and to build them up to have the courage to move beyond the things that have always held them back.

First Tee uses golf as a powerful mentoring tool to help kids build confidence, character, and life skills that last far beyond the course. Volunteers serve as coaches and mentors, helping youth learn values like respect, perseverance, and integrity in a fun, supportive environment.
