My tour of Iowa ended with a trip to Waterloo to visit the amazing ladies at Waterloo Women's Center for Change. Thank you, Pastor Paul Witmer (my friend and PCA Board President Extraordinaire), for the opportunity to worship with you all tonight! It was a delight to meet the ladies who attend "Well Time" and the wonderful volunteers who make it possible!

Tuesday was a blessed and busy day!

First, I joined Paul Witmer, pastor of Women at the Well in Mitchellville, and his lovely group of volunteers for lunch (I forgot to snap a picture!). Then I joined Paul at Plymouth Church in Des Moines to hear about their awesome reentry ministry.

In the evening, I had the pleasure of worshipping with the men at New Life Prison Community. New Life has two worship services with thirty-six men in each! It was absolutely lovely talking with the men and telling them about PCA. Their worship team is also top-notch - truly talented guys!

Pictured below are myself, Pastor Dave Gritters, Cindy Gritters, and Marv Goodyk (New Life volunteer) at dinner after worship.
Thank you to everyone who hosted me today! It was a day filled with reminders of God's amazing grace and the importance of PCA's ministry to all who take part in it.

Thank you, First Congregational United Church of Christ - DeWitt, Iowa, for inviting me to share about PCA yesterday during worship. It is refreshing to meet a congregation so in tune with mission to people who are most in need of God's love and grace. Thank you for all that you do to make this world a better place!

Thank you to everyone who has already donated in commemoration of Saint Dysmas, the patron saint of prisoners and those who minister to people in prison. We have raised 28% of our goal so far! Just like the penitent thief, our story has only just begun - there is still time to make your donation to Prison Congregations of America !
