Why should you check your voter registration status?

1. Make sure you're still registered
2. Confirm your name and address are correct
3. Avoid being marked “inactive”

Checking your voter registration status is one of the easiest ways to protect your vote. Addresses change, records get updated, and states regularly maintain their voter rolls. A quick check ensures you’re ready for Election Day with no surprises.

Make sure you're registered to vote by October 19th so you can make your voice heard on November 3rd!

Head to the Link in our Bio, print the Voter Registration Form, fill-out the form, sign it and then submit it to your County Auditor. Your Voter Registration form with an original signature must be received by the auditor 15 days before any election if you wish to vote in that election.

The 2022 U.S. Transgender Survey: South Dakota Report found that in the past year (the year leading up to the survey), 84% of adult transgender South Dakotans engaged in civic action from rallies to contacting officials to signing petitions.

💖💙💜 Today we celebrate , a time to uplift the resilient and beautifully multifaceted lives of bisexual people.

Bisexuality isn’t confusion. It’s not a phase. It’s a valid identity that exists with pride, purpose, and movement. Bi folks often navigate a world that tries to simplify or erase who they are. Being bi can mean being misunderstood by straight spaces or sidelined in q***r ones. It can mean constantly being asked to “pick a side” or justify your identity based on who you’re dating. That’s why visibility matters.

Bisexuality is dynamic, It’s expansive, and it deserves celebration!

Absentee voting begins today, September 18.

In Person: Registered voters can vote in-person once Absentee Voting begins at their County Auditor's office by bringing along a valid photo identification card (ID). If a voter does not have a photo ID, they must be given the option to sign a personal identification affidavit and vote a regular ballot.

By Mail: To vote by absentee ballot, a voter must download and print an Absentee Ballot Application, and mail your original, signed application to your County Election Official. The County Election Official will send a paper absentee ballot to the voter. The voter then completes the ballot and returns it to the County Election Official.

Voted Absentee Ballots must be received by election day.

Today is National Voter Registration Day! For q***r and trans folks, voting is a form of resistance, a declaration of existence, and a tool for shaping the future we deserve.

Registering to vote is one way we show up for each other, protect our rights, and demand representation that reflects our lived realities.

And allies, your role matters too. When you register and vote, you help defend trans youth, uplift q***r joy, and push for policies that center equity and care. Standing with our community at the ballot box is one of the most powerful ways to practice solidarity.
