What a day at Loess Hills Elementary!

Today our students had the opportunity to enjoy a petting zoo experience, and judging by the smiles, laughter, and excitement, it was a huge hit. The animals were adorable, and the kids had an absolute blast meeting and interacting with them.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our students, families, staff, and supporters who participated in our PTO Coin War fundraiser. Your generosity and enthusiasm are what make special experiences like this possible. Every coin collected helped create a memorable day for our students.

We would also like to give a special shoutout to Pixie’s Pony Tales, LLC Pony Rides & Petting Zoo for bringing such wonderful animals and helping make today's event so much fun for our Lynx!

Thank you for helping us create moments our students will remember for years to come.

Mrs. Mozak’s 5th grade class got to enjoy their Coin War pizza party today, and it looked like such a fun celebration!

This class brought the energy during Coin War 2026 and earned their classroom pizza party with an incredible finish.

A huge thank you to B's Nutrition for making the celebration even more special with drinks for the class. We appreciate the support and love seeing our students celebrated!

THAT’S A WRAP ON COIN WAR 2026!

WOW, Lynx families. Today was BIG.
Some of those jars were unbelievably heavy today, and our coin collectors definitely earned a workout carrying, sorting, and counting everything that came in during the final hours of competition.

Congratulations to our 2026 Coin War Champion: 🏆 Mrs. Mozak’s 5th Grade Class! 🏆

Your class earned the classroom pizza party and absolutely finished strong this week!

Final Top 5 Classrooms:

The race for the leaderboard came down to the very end. Mrs. Van Wyhe and Mrs. Henricks were separated by only 62 cents!

A huge shoutout to today’s biggest classroom contributions: Mozak, Henricks, Stoos, Strand, and Arellano!

Thank you to every student, family, teacher, and staff member who participated, donated, counted coins, shared posts, tracked standings, sent Venmo contributions, and helped make this such a fun event for students.

The funds raised through Coin War help support student activities and experiences throughout the year, including things like the Petting Zoo, Field Day treats, birthday contributions, classroom events, and future PTO plans for next school year.

We truly appreciate this school community and the way everyone came together to support Loess Hills students.

FINAL 24 HOURS of Coin War!

You all really put our coin collectors to work today because after a very slow week, some of those coin jars were HEAVY! Classrooms definitely showed up today, and the leaderboard tightened up fast.

These standings include all coins, cash, and Venmo contributions submitted through 5:00 PM today, May 7.

Today’s biggest classroom contributions came from:
