The Gospel Mission A Christ-centered ministry serving Siouxland since 1938.

We provide shelter, meals, clothing, and support while sharing the hope and love of Jesus Christ with those experiencing homelessness and hardship. To Feed the Hungry, To Clothe the Poor, To Shelter the Homeless, To Lead Them to Christ

Here at the Mission, we seek to show the love of Christ to everyone who comes through our door. We meet people where they are in their journey, whether they stay with us for one night or months on end.

We serve neighbors facing homelessness and hardship in Siouxland every day of the year with hot meals, safe beds across our two shelters, and the good news that every life matters to God. When our community members are secure and at peace, it strengthens all that we do. And that community includes you.

This week is National Estate Planning Awareness Week, an annual reminder to step back and make sure your future is protected. Estate planning can feel like a big task, but through our partnership with FreeWill, you can get started on your plans with ease.

Thank you for taking steps to care for your loved ones and your future while helping The Gospel Mission continue providing shelter, meals, and hope to those in need across Siouxland.

World Homeless Day - October 10, 2026

We all can help those who are homeless.

Every person you see struggling is made in the image of God — worthy of dignity, not judgmental glance. The road to homelessness looks different for everyone. Some end up there through bad decisions. Others are there because of addiction, mental health struggles, job loss, or broken relationships that left them with nowhere to turn.

At The Gospel Mission, we don't stop at meeting physical needs. Through mentoring and discipleship, we walk alongside each person to restore their relationship with God and help them build a lasting path forward — not just survival, but real transformation.

This World Homeless Day, you can be part of that work. Donate to The Gospel Mission — or come see it firsthand by volunteering with us.

We all can help. Let's do it together. Visit the links below to find out how you can help.🙏

It’s National Donor Advised Fund (DAF) Day!

Over the past two days, we’ve explored what a DAF is and how a DAF works. Today we’re answering one final question:

Did you know you can support our ministry through your Donor Advised Fund?

Many faithful supporters fund their DAF with appreciative assets such as stocks, mutual funds, cryptocurrency, ETF’s, real estate, or even closely held business interests. By giving these assets through a DAF, donors may receive meaningful tax advantages while directing more resources to fund the ministries they care about.

If you already have a Donor Advised Fund, we invite you to recommend a grant to support our ministry’s mission...To feed the hungry; to clothe the poor; to shelter the homeless; to lead them to Christ.

Every grant helps us continue sharing hope and the life-transforming message of the Gospel. We would be honored to partner with you as your investment is making an eternal difference in the lives of “the least of these.”

Today is National Donor Advised Fund (DAF) Day!

Yesterday we explored what a DAF is. Today, let’s talk about how a DAF works.

Think of a DAF as a tool that helps you turn your generosity into a long-term strategy. By contributing assets to a DAF, you receive an immediate tax benefit while setting aside funds that can be distributed to ministries closest to your heart over time whenever you're ready.

For many families, a DAF is one of the simplest and most effective ways to organize their charitable giving. It provides a thoughtful approach to their generosity, helps involve future generations in giving decisions, and creates opportunities to make a lasting eternal impact.

If you already have a DAF, we would be grateful if you would prayerfully consider our ministry among the organizations you support through your grant recommendations. Thank you for partnering with us to transform lives and advance God’s Kingdom through your faithful gifts.

Tomorrow - October 8th - is National DAF Day!

You may have heard of a Donor Advised Fund (DAF), but what exactly is it?

A DAF is a charitable giving account that allows families to set aside funds for ministry and charitable giving, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants to the ministries and nonprofits they care about over time. This DAF Day we’re celebrating every family that intentionally stewards God’s blessings to support Kingdom work that’s making an eternal difference.

Why do families establish DAFs?
• Simplify giving throughout the year
• Create a family legacy of generosity
• Provide tax-smart charitable planning
• Allows gifts of stocks and other appreciated assets
• Helps them support ministries consistently and strategically

If you have a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF), we invite you to make October 8th your giving day and prayerfully consider recommending a grant to support our ministry’s mission.

Together we can continue sharing hope and bringing life-changing help to those in need.
