*** UPDATE *** The Amber Alert for Ophelia Anne Barton has been cancelled as she has been found safe. Thank you for your help in locating her.

The Iowa City Police Department needs your help to find an endangered child.

Ophelia Anne Barton is 15-year-old. She is 5 feet tall and weighs around 80 pounds. She has brown hair that reaches her shoulders and hazel eyes. When last seen, she was wearing a Disney short-sleeve shirt and red shorts.

Ophelia was taken by 42-year-old Lindsey Anne White. White is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs approximately 138 pounds. She has long auburn hair and green eyes.

They may be traveling together in a Blue 2014 Jeep Compass Sport with Iowa license plate LIU 044.

He was a briefly a police officer in Carroll and Eagle Grove, even though another woman had alleged he threatened to kill her and her daughter. Pacheco was forced to resign from the Carroll job and was fired by Eagle Grove. He is no longer a certified peace officer.

A former police officer who was recently sentenced to up to 19 years in prison for repeatedly stalking and harassing a woman called her nine times from the Polk County Jail after his latest arrest, in violation of a no-contact order, according to court records.

Police were at a North Sioux City home Thursday morning and have arrested a man on several charges.

North Sioux City Police Chief Richard Headid says 46-year-old Matt Vanderpool has been arrested on five charges. They include:

R**e
Solicitation of a minor
Abuse and neglect of a child
Sexual contact with a child under the age of 16
Sexual exploitation

He also volunteered at the Dakota Valley baseball concession stand and ran for North Sioux City’s City Council.

The suspect faces five charges, 4 felonies and 1 misdemeanor.

A Norfolk man is accused of sexually abusing a 3-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy.

An arrest warrant for 40-year-old Roosevelt Jeffries fulfilled on Tuesday. Jeffries is charged with both first-degree and third-degree sexual assault of a child.
