OCTOBER EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT 🌟BERNIE!🌟

This month, we’re recognizing Bernie for the kindness, teamwork, and care she brings to BTB! She makes others feel welcome, values new ideas, and builds meaningful connections with the children and families she serves.

From supporting her coworkers to playing four square with the kids, Bernie brings a positive energy that makes a difference every day!

Help us congratulate Bernie on being our October Employee Spotlight!

Beyond the Bell’s Annual Family Night at Scarecrow Farm brought our BTB families together for an evening of fun as part of our celebration of Lights On Afterschool! Every October, this nationwide celebration shines a light on the importance of after-school programs and the difference they make for kids and families.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it a great night!

Before September comes to a close, we are taking a moment to celebrate our amazing Beyond the Bell team!

From August through September, several of our BTB staff members have reached another year with us, and we couldn’t let these milestones go by without celebrating! Here’s a look at just a few of the team members we’re celebrating!

Thank you to all of our BTB staff for the care, energy, and dedication you bring to the program every day. Whether pictured here or celebrating behind the scenes, we appreciate you and everything you do to make Beyond the Bell special!

Our hearts are heavy following the heartbreaking loss of Amanda, a Beyond the Bell parent, and her mother. Her two young children are facing an unimaginable loss during an incredibly difficult time.

The Crittenton Center has created a Venmo to help support the children and their caregiver with funeral expenses, living expenses, and other immediate needs as they navigate the days ahead.

As a program that has had the privilege of being part of this family’s life, this is especially close to our hearts. We’re sharing this resource for those who may be able to help.

Venmo:

⚠️ Please be cautious of scam accounts and verify the last four digits before sending. There will not be a GoFundMe set up for this effort.

It’s kinda chic...
But more importantly, it’s here to support our BTB families.
The Beyond the Bell Parent Pantry has officially soft launched as of yesterday! 🥫🍎🧼

Thank you again to everyone who donated, partnered with us, and helped make this possible. Your support helped fill these shelves, but more importantly, it is helping support the children and families in our community.

It’s kinda chic... and it’s making a difference.

What’s your vision for this room?” 👀
“To fill it.”

And that’s exactly what we set out to do.
What started as an empty space is becoming the Beyond the Bell Parent Pantry a place where our enrolled families can access food, fresh items, household essentials, hygiene products, and more.

We’re kicking off the 2026–2027 school year by shining the spotlight on an employee who brings so much to our team each day.

Meet our September Employee Spotlight — Annie! ✨
Annie is a valued part of the BTB team, and we’re happy to recognize her and the contributions she makes each day. Thank you, Annie, for all you do and for being such an important part of our BTB team!
