There is still time to support Simple Life through Hy-Vee’s Operation Helpful Smile.

The program runs through October 18 at Hy-Vee stores on Hamilton, Mall, Gordon Drive and in South Sioux City.

If you shop at one of these stores, look for the Simple Life box and follow the instructions on it. Every act of community support helps create more opportunities for connection, choice and belonging.

Thank you to Hy-Vee for including Simple Life and helping our community show up for the people we serve.

God continues to provide in the most beautiful ways!

Remember our recent post showing what the Hope Center shelves looked like after serving 120 households? They were nearly EMPTY!

Well, our friends at Jensen Dealerships saw that post and wondered what they could do to help.

And then they SURPRISED us with a donation that will provide 10,000 MEALS for families right here in Siouxland! ❤️

Here's what makes this so special. Jensen Dealerships ALREADY does SO much for the Hope Center! From collecting cans and hosting food drives to Subaru's Share the Love event, volunteering and so much more!

They could have easily said they'd done enough. But instead, they saw a need and responded with generosity!

1 John 3:18: “Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”

THIS is what loving our community looks like!

To our friends at Jensen Dealerships, THANK YOU for continuing to come alongside us to love and serve our community so well!

We are so grateful for the many ways God continues to provide through people who simply say YES! 🙌

💛TEMPORARY CLOSURE – WE ASK FOR YOUR GRACE & PATIENCE💛

We want to sincerely apologize to our customers for the continued inconvenience as Hope Redemption Center's storefront remains temporarily closed for redemption.

We believe in being transparent with those who have supported us over the years. We are currently navigating workforce challenges and working diligently to rebuild our team and establish a sustainable plan for moving forward.

We know this closure is frustrating, especially for those who rely on our redemption services. Please know that we understand, and we are truly sorry.

We're asking for a little extra grace and patience during this season. Our desire is to reopen as soon as we can responsibly do so, with the right people and processes in place to serve you well.

💛 YOU CAN STILL HELP US TURN CANS INTO MEALS!

While our storefront is closed for redemption, we are still accepting donated Iowa redeemable cans and bottles!Every donation helps support the mission of Sunnybrook Hope Center, providing meals and hope to families across Siouxland.

You can drop off your donations in the yellow bin outside Hope Redemption Center or at one of our convenient community locations:

Sometimes joy is something you get to share.

Amanda, one of our staff members, loves chickens and often shares stories about them with us. She wanted to share that joy with our members, so they spent time together feeding the chickens and enjoying the experience.

It’s a simple outing, but shared interests can create connection, conversation and memories that stay with us.

What’s something you love sharing with other people?

More than 61,200 visits in one summer.

Siouxnami Waterpark has become a major attraction in Sioux Center, and it has even received an Iowa Tourism Outstanding Attraction Award.

It is easy to see why people look forward to spending a summer day there.

For our members, a trip to Siouxnami means cooling off, moving, laughing with friends and enjoying one of the experiences our wider community has to offer.

A day at the waterpark might feel like an ordinary summer outing. But access to transportation, admission and the right support cannot always be taken for granted.

At Simple Life, we believe a full life includes the same community experiences that so many of us look forward to.

Thank you to Siouxnami Waterpark for being part of a great day.

October’s theme at Simple Life is Always My Genuine Self: Masks Are for Costumes.

We all have different ways of showing who we are. We share our interests, make choices, express feelings, set boundaries and let people get to know us over time.

This month, we’ll make room for all of that. We’ll talk about what helps us feel comfortable being ourselves and how we can give each other the same room to be genuine.

A costume can be fun for a day. Being known for who you are matters all year.
