Showing the love of Christ to children placed into the foster care system by providing clothing, necessities, and just for fun items at no cost; with the vision that every child impacted by foster care would feel seen, loved and worthy. We are a volunteer-run organization whose mission is to follow God’s commands to love, to care for children (James 1:27), and to give out of what we have (1 John 3:17, James 2:15-16) by supporting families who have opened their homes to children in need. Children placed by the system often arrive in out-of-home placement with little to no extra clothing, or they are lacking seasonally appropriate or well-fitting clothes. When a brand new foster parent comes in for a brand new baby, the feelings can overflow🥹 from total scares to total joy, we are here for your every emotion🥰 and can lighten the load. We have a ready made checklist so you don’t miss a thing! Yes, you heard that right. We’re not shopping at Swnky Chic - we’re selling! We have a booth!

How does this make sense you might ask… I’ll tell you.

We were donated a ton of amazing items by a former vendor who went out of business, they get help moving items out of storage, we get the proceeds from the sales! Win-win!

These pics are just a tiny taste of what’s to come, there will be some great deals! Swanky Chic is today (Friday) 2pm-8pm and tomorrow (Sat) 9am-4pm at the convention center in South sioux. There is an admission price of $7.

A “perfect” shopping experience!! If a teen tells you that, it must be documented 😂When the right donation (a brown, cropped winter coat) meets the right child, everything feels possible. Throw in a leopard printed sweater and a suitcase that was “just her style” and you have one joyful shopper!

Sometime it just feels like everything has been set into place for a specific purpose.

Sisters, shopping (and SO excited about everything). The first one immediately spotted cowboy boots.

The only pair we had. Exactly her size.

She had told her foster mom that morning that she wanted cowboy boots when they went shopping and she had been warned that we probably wouldn't have any.

THEN a box of backpacks. We have a lot extra, but they're new and super cute and we were planning to put them into storage but they just haven't made it there yet. Not sure anyone could be more excited about those bags than those two girls!

They were trying to be ready for winter with snowboots but most of them aren't out of storage yet. Of the three pairs on hand there was the right size for one sister, the other sister was going to have to wait....

Right after they loaded up and pulled away a donor stepped out of her vehicle with snowboots in hand.

Not kidding... foster mom SAW her, looped around, came back.

Perfect size.

mind-blown.
