A beautiful beginning in Orange City!

Yesterday, we celebrated more than a groundbreaking—we celebrated community. Surrounded by the Orange City community, including our staff, volunteers, and board members, we lifted our voices in prayer and song as we gathered to rejoice alongside the Chavez family for the start of their future Habitat home.

Moments like these remind us that building a home is never done alone. It is built with faith, hope, hard work, and the shared commitment of neighbors coming together with love. We are deeply grateful for every volunteer, partner, and community member who stood with us to mark this milestone.

As Scripture reminds us:
"Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain." Psalm 127:1

Together, we are building more than walls—we are building strength, stability, and a bright future.

Easter Holiday Closure Notice

As a Christian organization, Siouxland Habitat for Humanity joyfully observes the Easter season—a time of reflection, hope, and renewal. To allow our staff time to celebrate Christ’s resurrection with their families, our office and ReStore will be closed Friday, April 3 through Sunday, April 5.

Office reopens: Monday, April 6 at 8:00 a.m.
ReStore reopens: Tuesday, April 7 at 12:00 p.m.

May the hope of Easter remind us that through faith, love, and service, all things are made new.

As we celebrate Easter, we are reminded that a home is more than walls and a roof—it is a place of refuge, faith, and new beginnings. We wish you and your family a blessed and joyful Easter season.

Weather Delay Notice

Due to the weather, Siouxland Habitat for Humanity will delay opening until 10:00 AM tomorrow, Monday, March 16.

On days like this, we’re especially reminded how important the comfort, safety, and stability of a home truly are. It’s why we work every day to help families achieve the dream of homeownership—because everyone deserves a warm, reliable place to call home.

As a reminder, the ReStore is always closed on Mondays.
