The deadline to complete your YQCA (Youth for the Quality Care of Animals) certification is fast approaching! If you plan on exhibiting livestock this year, make sure you are certified by July 1, 2026.

The 4-H Horse Superintendents are planning Open Riding Nights in July. They will help you with any type of 4-H horse questions and riding events. Learn about the Western Discipline Rail class and the new Egg & Spoon class. The dates are June 29, July 6, July 13 and July 20 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Woodbury County Fair at the horse arena. Because of insurance reasons, 4-H members MUST sign up in 4-H Online.

Pre-Judging: Held at the Woodbury County Extension office.

🌞 Summer at the Fairgrounds 🌿

There’s something special about walking the Woodbury County Fairgrounds as summer begins — the calm before the excitement. Soon, these quiet spaces will buzz with laughter, teamwork, and the proud spirit of our 4‑H youth, their families, and volunteers.

It’s one week of long days, hard work, and countless memories — and every moment is worth it. Preparing for fair week reminds me how much I love seeing our community come together through ISU Extension and Outreach to celebrate learning, leadership, and growth.
