We would like to offer our sincere thanks to the community and our many members, volunteers and students for your support over the last three years. We are all dispirited by the circumstances leading to the organization’s closure, but heartened by the many messages of support and enthusiasm we’ve received throughout the last few weeks. It gives us hope that Sioux City could someday have another o
rganization inspired by the makers movement. We will keep our page and Group alive for as long as possible, so that the maker family we’ve generated can continue to share and evolve together. We encourage you join in, keep in touch and share YOUR maker magic with the community here. Makerspaces are a community-operated workspace where people with a common interest can rent spaces and create or be "makers" together. We fostered a community of makers by providing an environment in terms of people, equipment, and space that supports the creative process and personal growth. Makerspace was designed to get more people involved in making things together. We were member run with a board of rotating volunteers. Join our ongoing family of Siouxland Makers!
