Congratulations to Jim and Marianne Sjaarda, the recipients of the 2026 Addink Community Service Award! 🌟
For over a decade, Jim and Marianne have faithfully served Sioux Center and the surrounding area through the Hope Food Pantry. What started as a simple desire to meet a local need has transformed into a vital community ministry that provides food, clothing, and hope to countless families in need. From securing grants and picking up donations to organizing volunteers and opening every distribution day in prayer, Jim and Marianne dedicate countless hours each week to ensuring their neighbors are cared for. While they are quick to share the credit with their dedicated volunteer team, including long-time coordinator Bev Jansen, their leadership and heart for service truly exemplify what the Addink Community Service Award is all about.
Thank you, Jim and Marianne, for your extraordinary commitment, your faith, and the lasting impact you continue to make in our community — we can't wait to celebrate you next week at An Evening of Promise!
