This week Kiwanis members had the privilege of presenting a free Scholastic book to the first graders at Sioux Center Chrisfian School and Kinsey Elementary.

It's always a fun seeing the joy on their faces as they pick out their book from our selection.

Our club enjoyed having lunch with the Sioux Center High School Key Club. It was good to hear how they are volunteering around the area, building a good foundation for future service and being a good citizen in their community. Thank you to Mr. Reichle for providing guidance and leadership for this group!

Recent programs at the Sioux Center Kiwanis included a visit from a representative from Sioux Center Ambulance. Later, we had 8th graders from Sioux Center Middle School share with us about their trip to Des Moines which our club sponsors.

This week the Sioux Center Kiwanis Club welcomed Ricky Gordon, new owner of Brothers Bike Shop here in Sioux Center. After taking ownership a few months ago, Ricky calls this his "dream job." Brothers Bike Shop is a great asset to Sioux Center, promoting outdoor recreation and fitness for people of all ages. Make sure you stop in to visit!
