The Sinton Volunteer Fire Department asks everyone to please use extra caution. Avoid outdoor burning, properly extinguish ci******es, never leave outdoor fires unattended, and avoid parking vehicles on dry grass where hot exhaust could ignite vegetation.

🚒 Please help us prevent the next call before it happens. One small spark can quickly turn into a fast-moving fire and put homes, property, and first responders at risk.

Stay safe, Sinton, and please share to help spread the word. 🔥🚒

🔥 ELEVATED FIRE DANGER THIS WEEKEND 🔥

San Patricio County, conditions are expected to create an elevated risk for wildfires this weekend. Dry vegetation + warm, windy conditions can turn a small spark into a big problem FAST. 🚒🌬️

🚫 PLEASE DON’T:
❌ Burn brush or trash
❌ Burn on windy days
❌ Toss ci******es from your vehicle
❌ Leave campfires or outdoor fires unattended
❌ Park vehicles on dry grass — hot exhaust can ignite vegetation
❌ Use fireworks where they could start a wildfire

✅ DO: Keep a water source nearby, properly extinguish any outdoor fire, and check local burn restrictions before burning.

🔥 One spark is all it takes. Let’s protect our homes, families, first responders and community this weekend!

🚨 🚨 Turkey Trot Update! 🦃🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

We’re officially a little over 3 months away from the 2nd Annual Sinton Volunteer Fire Department Turkey Trot, and the excitement is building!

If you’ve been thinking about signing up, now is the perfect time. Remember, only the first 250 registered participants are guaranteed one of our custom race shirts and exclusive finisher medals. Once those spots are gone, they’re gone!

Our finisher medals are currently in production, and we have to say—they look awesome! We can’t wait to reveal the final design and hand them out on race day.

This year, we’re also excited to introduce our inaugural Firefighter Challenge! We hope to see firefighters from departments all across South Texas come out to compete, represent their department, and see who takes home the championship trophy. If you know someone in the fire service, tag them and encourage their department to join the challenge!

🔥 Here’s what you can look forward to:
• A unique course that runs through the Sinton Fire Station
• Our signature smoke experience
• Professionally timed by VF Productions
• A 5K Run/Walk and 1K Fun Run/Walk
• The all-new Firefighter Challenge
• Vendors, music, and fun for the entire family

Whether you’re chasing a personal best, walking with friends, supporting your local volunteer firefighters, or competing in the Firefighter Challenge, we’d love to have you join us.

Earlier this evening, the Sinton Volunteer Fire Department had the honor of welcoming an extraordinary group of students, along with their teachers and families.

These outstanding young men and women earned the title of State Grand Champions, an incredible accomplishment in itself. Their hard work, dedication, and innovative thinking earned them the opportunity to travel to Indiana, where they represented Sinton at the International Conference, competing against schools from around the world.

What makes their achievement especially meaningful to us is that their project, S.P.A.R.K., was inspired by the Welder Complex Fire of 2025, a tragedy that touched our own community here in Sinton. They turned a difficult chapter in our community’s history into an opportunity to make a difference, creating an innovative solution that reflects the very spirit of service, resilience, and community that we strive to uphold as firefighters.

To recognize their incredible accomplishments, we were proud to present each student with a Sinton Volunteer Fire Department Challenge Coin as a symbol of our respect and appreciation.

As the saying goes, success isn’t measured by the accomplishments you achieve, but by the lives you touch and the difference you make. These students have already begun doing just that. Congratulations to these exceptional students, their dedicated teachers, and their supportive families. Thank you for representing Sinton with excellence and reminding us all that even the youngest minds can make a lasting impact on their community. Your future is bright, and we can’t wait to see where your talents take you next. 🚒🏅❤️
