“It’s Greek to Me!” 🇬🇷

Our final Cooking with Nada class wrapped up with a thoughtfully curated menu of Greek-inspired dishes—completely gluten, dairy, and sugar free! From vibrant flavors to fresh, wholesome ingredients, it was a celebration of both culture and creativity in the kitchen.

Students soaked in the beautiful day, enjoying the flexibility of both indoor and outdoor cooking spaces. We were thrilled to welcome some new “chefs” alongside our seasoned students, all coming together to share in the joy of learning and delicious food. While it’s bittersweet to close out this year’s lessons, we’re already looking forward to an exciting new 2026–2027 season launching this fall. Stay tuned!

Be on the lookout for our Anniversary Campaign at the end of the month! We’ll be offering a special selection of our recipes in PDF form with your donation—all tax deductible and directly supporting our Gardens of Hope Program in schools.

Cook, Eat, Love!

Looking for something fun, meaningful, and delicious to do? Join us for Cooking with Nada—where every class is more than just a great meal. It’s a chance to laugh, learn, and connect while creating dishes you’ll be proud to share.

But what makes these classes truly special is the impact beyond the kitchen. Every dollar raised helps grow our Gardens of Hope program—bringing organic gardens into schools and providing ongoing education that empowers the next generation to understand where their food comes from.

When you sign up, you’re not just cooking—you’re planting seeds of change. Come for the experience, stay for the purpose, and leave knowing you’ve helped something beautiful grow. Class fees are paid to the Joseph P Cory Foundation.

Sample itinerary and menu is below. Join us for our last class in April or sign up for the Fall! [email protected]

Three’s Company!
And what a trifecta it is. Sandpiper Shores Elementary School in Boca Raton recently debuted new garden T-shirts, proudly inscribed on the back with the three Gardens of Hope collaborators supporting this year’s efforts: Whole Kids Foundation, Sprouts Farmers Market, and The Joseph P. Cory Foundation.

Together, these partners are helping bring impactful organic teaching gardens to life. With the right support, schools across Palm Beach County can establish outdoor classrooms where students learn hands-on in the garden. Introducing children to these experiences at an early age helps them develop healthier food choices and build habits that support lifelong wellness.

March features our “Your Nose Knows” module—an engaging lesson that uses garden herbs and vegetables to explore our powerful sixth sense: smell. Students discover how scent influences emotions, food preferences, and even healing. One highlight of the lesson was a creative project where students decorated linen bags and filled them with fragrant lavender flowers to make their own sachets. Additionally, they explored the history of aromatherapy and shared stories about how certain foods and scents remind them of family time and holiday traditions.

We invite you to join us in growing this impact. With your support, we can expand these gardens and ensure that even more students are ready to roll up their sleeves and “dig in.”

Think Like A Chef!

By February, our students had already experienced months of hands-on learning through their organic Gardens of Hope. From planting tiny seeds to tending their crops, harvesting fresh produce, and exploring the fundamentals of nutrition, they were finally ready for the next exciting step: learning how to think like a chef.

This experience nourished the mind, body, and soul.

As “young chefs,” students discovered how to thoughtfully combine ingredients, practice kitchen safety, and use essential cooking tools and techniques. They explored how flavors work together and how fresh ingredients can be transformed into something delicious and nutritious.

Beyond the kitchen skills, they strengthened teamwork and collaboration by working alongside their peers. One of the highlights was planning their own grocery lists and navigating shopping choices using the weekly flyers. A special thank you to Publix for providing an abundance of healthy, accessible options that helped our students make informed decisions about wholesome foods.

We are especially grateful to Chef Collin Goodine of QRCA Health for guiding students in preparing a delicious roasted cauliflower hummus dip paired with freshly cut vegetables—many harvested directly from our school’s Gardens of Hope. Seeing how their homegrown produce can become part of a yummy snack was a full-circle moment that truly embodied the spirit of the program.

Pioneer Day is a blast from the past for a healthy future!

Families from Palm Beach and surrounding counties made their way to the Riverbend Park Farmstead on November 15th, for the annual Pioneer Day.

This year, hundreds of attendees enjoyed turn-of-the-century activities, and the Joseph P Cory foundation was on site to share the fun and benefits Gardens of Hope offers to park visitors yearlong.

Guests could enjoy some good ole country music, tour the organic garden, listen to stories, and plant a seed of their own to bring home. President and Founder Nada Cory presented hourly talks, inspiring everyone to plant their own garden and making a measurable impact on one’s health and Mother Earth.

Many thanks to the foundation’s volunteer task force who helped educate and entertain parents and kids on this chamber of commerce day. Contact us to book a private presentation for your organization or school.
