If by chance the people who visit my pantry often are seeing this .... You do NOT need to come at 1030 at night. You can come at any time during daylight hours to visit the pantry for anything you need. The pantry is meant to help you out and you shouldn't be ashamed or embarrassed.

But please note I have a dog that barks and sleeping children and lets please be courteous of our neighbors !

If this continues I will empty the pantry each night and lock it.

Thank you Judy Morley Porpiglia for filling the pantry today!

Happy tuesday!

Warming bags have been put in the pantry. Currently there are two of them that would be appropriate for female children between the ages of 3-10ish due to the size of the hats and gloves inside of these bags.
More bags will be made up throughout the winter!

Let's come together to keep our community warm this winter. ❄️ 🥶
Donations would be appreciated to help continue blessing others and we are in need of hats, gloves, scarves, hot chocolate, soups, and snacks as well as any other things you feel would be best in the winter time.

All items will be divided up into bags equally and properly labeled for boys/girls/adults.

‼️Government shut down! ‼️
No November SNAP benefits for millions of Americans!

With that being said, this will drastically affect our community and people and children will be without food. Sinclairville pantry would like to help as many people as possible through this month!

We are in desperate need of donations so if you would like to and are able to help during this time, please feel free to contact me and I can pick up. Or donations are accepted at any time inside the pantry or on our front porch at 17 church street Sinclairville NY

In light of the ongoing government shutdown and possible delays in SNAP benefit distributions, the Jamestown Farmers Market and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church are committed to ensuring that everyone has access to fresh and local food.

‼️Starting Saturday, November 1st at the Saturday farmers market, anyone who presents a valid EBT card and SNAP Determination Letter will receive $15 in JFM Market Bucks to spend at the market. This offer also extends to unpaid and furloughed federal employees who may be facing uncertainty about pay or food access (please bring your staff ID). ‼️

While our current funding allows us to provide this support to 50 individuals per market day, with your help, we can reach even more people. Every donation expands our ability to put fresh, local food on the tables of families who need it most.

💕We invite our community to help sustain this effort - your donations directly support local families in need and strengthen our local farms and small businesses.

Donate here: https://givebutter.com/jfmsnap

💵Shoppers who have a balance on their EBT card can also double their SNAP dollars through the NYS FreshConnect Checks Program by visiting the Market Information Table, presenting their EBT card, and receiving a dollar-for-dollar match in FreshConnect Checks and wooden SNAP tokens. Both FreshConnect Checks and SNAP tokens can be used to purchase any eligible food item including but not limited to: fruits and vegetables, meat, eggs, baked goods, dairy products, honey, maple syrup, sauces, jams, and more!

📍The Jamestown Farmers Market will be held indoors at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church (entry on 4th Street/wheelchair accessible) beginning November 1st from 9 am – 1 pm. Together, we can ensure that everyone in our community has access to fresh, nutritious food, and that our local food system remains resilient through challenging times.

All of this for $40 from Aldi

Even if you're struggling this holiday season, this makes thanksgiving so very affordable and it's meant to feed 10 people so you can even have leftovers for the next day!

Food Items I would stock up on in preparation of not receiving EBT/Snap next month‼️

1. Rice, the ultimate side dish! I would suggest a 10/20 pound bag.

2. A sack of potatoes and onions can go very far. Hell its a meal itsself.

3. Flour, oil and a few packs of instant yeast can be used to make simple bread.

3. Canned vegetables, especially tomatoes that can be used to make soups.

4. Beans and Legumes, especially lentils prepared right can last for days!

5. A lot of y’all crap on leg quarters but it’s a high quanity of meat, that can be spread over several meals.

6. Peanut butter and Jelly!

7. A couple loaves of bread: It can be stored in freezer.

8. Pasta and spaghetti sauce goes great with lentils for protein

9. Oatmeal versus boxed cereal.

10. Shelf stable milk versus fresh.

11. Canned meats like tuna, chicken and salmon

12. Frozen vegetables and fruit

Addendum: IF YOU NEED THE FOOD PANTRY START LOOKINH NOW VERSUS NEXT MONTH WHEN THEY WILL BE OVERRUN

Yes you have to give up snacks, fresh produce and meat but this will help keep your bellies full and lasts longer.
