The Sinclair Rec Hall will be closed on Friday, August 28th as Monte will be out of town. The Sinclair Rec Hall will be open as scheduled at 8am on Monday, August 31st.

Sinclair Adult Field Trip - UW vs. Hawaii Football Game

On Saturday, September 26th the Town of Sinclair and the Sinclair Recreation Department will sponsor and host a field trip to Laramie, WY to take part in the tailgate parties and then watch the Wyoming Cowboys take on the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors. The shuttle bus will depart the Sinclair Rec Hall at 9am sharp, participate in the tailgate activities and then watch the 1pm game. The shuttle bus should return to Sinclair at approximately 5-5:30pm. Participants will be responsible for securing their own ticket in advance.

Hey Sinclair - August is about history and time to move on to September!

Here is the Sinclair Events Calendar for September 2026. As far special events go we have a movie night on Monday, Sept. 14th - "Law Abiding Citizen" and if you haven't seen this show on the big screen, you missed out so don't miss this opportunity, we also will be having a comedy show on Saturday, Sept. 19th that is rated PG-13 for possible language but nothing raunchy, we will shuttle some folks to Laramie for a UW vs. Hawaii football game on Saturday, Sept. 26th and then a free concert, "Sarah McQuaid," on Tuesday, Sept. 29th.

Today, Saturday, August 22nd, is the day for the 2026 SINCLAIR SUMMER ARTS & MUSIC FESTIVAL!!!

This event includes a kickoff parade at 1pm and several other family events & activities throughout the day and a concert featuring the opener, "Silver Strands Band," and co-headliner "Jalan Crossland" and finally, "Tris Munsick & the Innocents!"

This event also has a car & bike show (Red Knights MC), a craft fair, a face painter, a kid's carnival, petting zoos (J & J Holdings), pony & carriage rides (Carbon County Cowpokes), museum tours, local art show, contests for kids (Sinclair Baptist Church), a free showing of the "History of Sinclair" movie and entertainment featuring the "Rawlins in Motion" dancers followed by the "Little Sun Drum & Dance Group" from the Wind River Indian Reservation!

As well, no one will be hungry or thirsty because there will be plenty of food & drink vendors. You won't want to miss this event and be sure to bring your lawn chairs to find a nice place in the shade to enjoy the day's activities. REMINDER - unfortunately, due to the amount of people, no pets are allowed for this event.

SINCLAIR ADULT FIELD TRIP TO RAWLINS WATER TREATMENT PLANT & SINCLAIR MUSEUM

On Tuesday, August 11th the Sinclair Rec Department will host an adult field trip for Sinclair folks who are interested in seeing how the water that runs through our lines is treated for human consumption. Afterwards, we will stop and have lunch in Rawlins and then head to the Sinclair Town Hall to tour the renovated upstairs of the building followed by a tour of the Sinclair Museum with discussion. The shuttle bus will depart the Sinclair Rec Hall at 9am fir the water treatment facility and then the museum tour should conclude by approximately 1:15pm.

SINCLAIR YOUTH.......WATER SLIDE DAY!!

Let's cool down on this hot day! At 11am the Sinclair Rec Department is gonna get out the water slide and water guns for the kids to have some "cool" fun!

We'll also get out the sno-cone machine and possibly have some cake & ice cream for an impromptu birthday party for one of the kids.

PARADE - SINCLAIR SUMMER ARTS & MUSIC FESTIVAL!!

As part of the 2026 Sinclair Summer Arts & Music Festival on Saturday, August 22nd, the Town of Sinclair will have a parade to kick the day off. This parade will start at 1pm and march from 10th Street down Lincoln Avenue and around the town fountain plaza with plenty of candy & novelties thrown out for the kids! This parade is well attended and a great way for individuals, groups, clubs, businesses and organizations to promote themselves while having a "ton of fun!" Any Carbon County Parade participants that want to get "more bang for their buck" and get to be included in two parades this summer should plan on getting in on the fun in the Sinclair parade also!

CRAFT FAIR!

As part of the 2026 Sinclair Summer Arts & Music Festival on Saturday, August 22nd, the Town of Sinclair will host an annual summer craft fair. This event generally draws in huge crowds as there are several family activities & entertainment going on all day starting with a parade at 1pm and ending with a concert in the evening. All individuals, groups, clubs and organizations are invited to participate.

Booth spaces for interested vendors will be $15 each and will be approximately 10'x10'. Vendors may choose to have their booth inside the Sinclair Rec Hall or outside on the grass in full view or under the pavilion at Washington Park. Electricity is available for those who may need it at an additional cost of $5. Outdoor vendors must supply their own tables and chairs and canopy shade tents, if desired. Set-up for all vendors will be from 10am-12noon ONLY on Saturday, August 22nd.
