Good evening neighbors. I wanted to share the information Ripple Fiber sent me:
This is cut/paste directly from the email:
What does "construction" entail?
The construction process at Ripple Fiber is much simpler and less invasive than other companies. We do not trench out a path to lay our conduit in the ground. The build process is as follows:
1. Locates are called in to mark all pre-existing utilities (water, power/electric, gas, cable, sewers, etc.)
2. White lining begins in which we will begin to mark the hand-dug holes that will be used to create a path for our conduit.
3. Digging begins; holes are generally placed 15ft-20ft apart in which we will lay two tarps down. One tarp is for the top layer of grass (if applicable) the other for the dirt.
4. From here we will lay our "missile" device which is a pneumatic powered ram that will make its way along the curb line throughout the neighborhood.
5. Conduit is pulled through.
6. Holes are filled and grass is tamped down on top along with straw to be placed (seed if applicable.)
7. Restoration is to begin after the neighborhood is completed by the contractor. This entails fixing any damage to yards, landscaping, sidewalks, roads etc. caused by our construction.
8. Irrigation lines cannot be located by locate crews, in the event of a break, we will repair it on site. If a line was damaged and not repaired, please place a ticket on our website(www.ripplefiber.com/contact). From here, we will have it documented and repaired.
Please note that this is a general process of construction, our engineering team will meet with the HOA board to ensure that the plan for construction is carried out in a way that is most efficient for your specific neighborhood.
What services will be offered once services are turned on?
Since our network will be 100% fiberglass straight to the provided ONT (modem/router), we can guarantee our network speeds provided you are hardwired into the ONT. Wi-Fi presents its own characteristics, regardless, it will be a significant jump in network speeds than what you are used to.
For all of the remote workers, streamers, gamers, you will no longer have to deal with buffering, lagging, and latency variations. Your upload and download speeds will be symmetrical!
Pricing and packages:
1 gigabyte per second (1000mbps standard) upload and download speed for $85 per month.
OR
250mbps upload and download speed for $55 per month.
Our pricing includes taxes/surcharges and equipment.
Installation is $200 to have the line run to the home, but all residents who pre-order the service prior to "go live" time will receive this fee waived completely. If you are interested in pre-ordering the service, please use this link to do so.
Ripple Fiber is committed to creating and maintaining a relationship with each and every customer, community, HOA board and Property Management group that is affected by our presence. If there are questions that come up, please reach out to our Community Liaison:
