Our Unit Horseshow took place last night at J Bar S Arena! This is our 3rd year at this fabulous location! All the kids participating recieved blue ribbons! This year we had a new Best of Show award for the whole show and it went to White County participant Braden Tomm! Pope-Hardin Clover Crew had 3 participants! Luke Vinyard received County Champion for Junior Class! Lacey Bailey Received County Champion for Senior class and Lily Vinyard with Reserve Champion! We can't wait for next year!! Great job to everyone and enjoy the pictures!! 💚🍀🐎

Summer Hiking Club kicked off this morning!! We had the perfect weather to explore Indian Kitchen!! Join us next week when we head to Ferne Clyffe!! 🍀💚

What an incredible day for the Pope-Hardin 4-H General Show!! It took place this morning at the Dixon Springs Ag Center!

We had an amazing turnout with amazing projects and live animal exhibits that showcased the hard work, dedication, and talents of our 4-H members!

Every participant earned a Blue Ribbon, and several members were recognized as County Champions and Reserve County Champions! We also had selections for State Fair and a State Fair Alternate!

We are so proud of each and every one of these kids and all they have accomplished!!

We can't wait to watch you continue to grow, learn, and add even more amazing projects next year!! 💚🍀

The blessing box at Dixon Springs Ag Center has been refilled with fresh produce such as cucumbers, squash, and zucchini, along with shelf-stable items.

Items in the blessing box are supplied through an IL 4-H Food Advocacy Grant written by Hardin County Cougar Club member Logan Warren to fill local blessing boxes with nutritious food in Pope and Hardin counties. This grant aims to address food insecurity in communities across Illinois. Fresh produce is harvested during weekly youth gardening classes here at DSAC.

The community is welcome to visit the box and take whatever items they need.

4-H CAN make a difference!

The 4-H Can Make a Difference Can/Non-Perishable Food drive is back at the Illinois State Fair! Prizes will be awarded to the top three counties that bring in the most items to support local community service initiatives. We will be located inside the Orr building this year by the Illinois 4-H Youth Leadership Booth on the South Side of the building. We will be collecting on each county fair day where projects are being shown (August 14-16). We are excited to see Illinois 4-H members and supporters join together to serve others!
