Alarm goes off at 2:45 AM. But let’s be honest — no one really sleeps the night before transport day. Your mind runs through every detail…paperwork, crates, clean up essentials, blankets, and the precious lives depending on you.

First stop: Effie, to pick up sweet little Livie.

Second stop: Simmesport, for mama Gemma — you may remember her. Her pups made it to New York months ago, but she had to stay behind to finish heartworm treatment.

Both unwanted. Both deserving of everything.

Then a long drive to Baton Rouge where their plane awaits.

This is animal rescue — long days, longer nights, and absolutely worth every mile.

A few days ago, we reached out and asked for help with dog food donations…and you answered with so much love. Before we knew it, boxes were arriving at our door — along with extra goodies from our wishlist that we never expected.

Our dogs and puppies feel it.

We feel it.

Your kindness fills their bowls, their bellies, and their little hearts. It keeps our rescue going on the hard days and reminds us that we’re not doing this alone.

We appreciate your support more than words can say. Thank you for showing up for us — and especially for the animals who need it most.
