One of the biggest reasons we continue to stay involved in advocacy and leadership is because we believe our communities deserve to be seen, heard, and represented.
Growing up, many Asian American families were taught to stay quiet, work hard, avoid conflict, and not draw attention to themselves.
That mindset came from sacrifice, survival, and respect but over the years, through leadership, advocacy, and conversations with policymakers and industry leaders, I’ve realized something important:
When communities stay silent, decisions still get made.
The only difference is whether or not we’re part of the conversation when they happen.
That’s why I continue encouraging leaders in our industry and the next generation to speak up, get involved, and take a seat at the table. Because representation matters.
Advocacy matters.
And our voices matter.
If we want change, opportunity, and progress for future generations, we can’t afford to stay on the sidelines.
Your voice belongs in the room.
