Camp Helping Hands Welcome to Camp Helping Hands - Where Kids Make a Difference. We offer service-learning programs for young children ages 6-14.

You can learn more by visiting: www.camphelpinghands.com Camp Helping Hands (CHH) began as a summer camp project and has become the premier service-learning summer camp for young children serving the Conejo Valley and surrounding areas. CHH also offers Family Days, a one day service program designed for parents who wish to serve alongside with their children. Summer camp takes a holistic approach

and dedicates one week to each of the following segments of our community: Earth, People and Animals. Each summer, a new cohesive theme is explored and campers take part in two service field trips per week that directly tie into the cohesive theme and community segment area of emphasis. Family Days mirror a typical summer camp service field trip expedition and are a great way for parents to serve with their children.

Camp Helping Hands has been silent since we closed our doors in 2018. Weā€™re reinvigorating this handle as our mission matters more now than ever it seems. With so much dividing us as a nation, we must remember we are stronger united. Teach regardless of your beliefs of whatā€™s right and whatā€™s wrong, and be sure to and if possible and comfortable for you to cast your vote.

Where Kids Make a Difference

Camp Helping Hands is a four-week program that provides fun and educational service-learning opportunities within several different segments of our community. Each summer program has an overarching theme, and each week of programming supports that theme. For CHH campers to receive the full benefits of service-learning, it is important to embrace this four-week approach, though one, two, and three-week options are available. In addition to each weekā€™s service projects and field trips, CHH campers also swim, play sports activities and games, sing songs, do arts and craft projects, and much more.

CHH places campers according to age into four age groups: Junior Helpers (6 and 7), Young Advocates (8 and 9), Super Agents (10 and 11), and Chief Aides (12 and 13). Each group contains 15 to 17 campers and is led by three counselors who guide them through age-appropriate activities. Chief Aides, our oldest age group, are Jr. counselors-in-training (Jr. CITā€™s). In addition to participating in camp activities like our younger campers, they assist team counselors and camp administration with tasks as needed.
