Congrats to our dress up winners for school spirit! And a big congrats to Greg for winning the gaga ball tournament, talent show, AND 4 square tournament!

Tomorrow is the LAST DAY of the program this year, and we will be ending at 12pm. Lunch will not be served! Our theme is tie dye!

Not only did we have an awesome talent show, but we also got to enjoy a fun dress up theme, a gaga ball tournament (congrats Greg on the W!!), and ice cream sundaes from Christ United Methodist Church- Silvis Campus.

Tomorrow we have another fun day planned- a school spirit dress up day, 4 square tournament at 11AM, and thanks to a generous donation from Debbie Sanders- FREE Kona Ice at 1pm!

Another Parks Got Talent in the books! This year, the talent was SO impressive, we chose 4 winners!

1st place: Kason & Greg with a hilarious impersonation of Miss Tague and Miss Catilyn

2nd place: Abbi with a moving performance of Bloodstream

3rd place: Madyson & Jaycee with an inspirational performance of Fight Song

Tied for 4th place: Amira with a fun dance to Lush Life & Violet with an impressive moonwalk to Billie Jean!

This is always my favorite event of the year. We have such a talented group of kids and I love to see them cheer each other on. It’s hard to believe we only have 1.5 days left of the summer!

Can you believe next week is our last week of the program?? We have a FUN FILLED week planned with dress up days, tournaments, prizes, and more!

Monday: Monday’s dress up theme is Rainbow 🌈. We will hand out a prize for the best dressed at the end of the day! Our morning activity will be tie dying shirts at 10:30AM. Please bring a white shirt with your name on it. For the afternoon, we will be walking to Gauley Field at 1pm for a field day!

Tuesday: Tuesday’s dress up theme is Favorite Color 🎨. We will hand out a prize for the best dressed at the end of the day! We have a field trip to White Water Junction at 11:30am. Cost is $6.00

Wednesday: Wednesday’s dress up theme is Favorite Holiday 🎄🎃. We will hand out a prize for the best dressed at the end of the day! In the morning, we will have a Gaga Ball tournament at 11AM and the winner will receive a prize! In the afternoon, we will have our annual Parks Got Talent talent show at 1pm. We can’t wait to see everyone’s talents! There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

Thursday: Thursday’s dress up theme is School Spirit 🚀🐊. We will hand out a prize for the best dressed at the end of the day! In the morning, we will have a 4Square tournament at 11AM and the winner will receive a prize! In the afternoon, Kona Ice will be here at 1:30pm for $2 snow cones!

Friday: Our last day! The theme will be Tie-Dye 👚👕 and we will hand out a prize for the best dressed! We end at 12:00pm on this day and lunch will not be served.

Like with last week, because we have an early field trip on Wednesday to see the Dog Man movie, we will start collecting permission slips/money today. If you are going to the movie field trip, please be at the park on Wednesday, July 15th at 9:00am so we can leave by 9:05! Field trip forms will be available today, or you can message on ClassDojo. Cost is $2.00

Shoutout to our community for providing all the fun this week! We had a cheer clinic from the UTHS cheerleaders, a pickleball clinic from the Quad City Pickleball Club, and ice cream sundaes from Christ United Methodist Church- Silvis Campus. It was a blast! We are blessed with the best community support around!

Next week we’ll be busy with 3 field trips, water games, and more! Make sure to check ClassDojo for more updates and informations regarding next week and our dress up themes for our last week of the program!

Because we have an early field trip on Wednesday to see the Minecraft movie, we are going to collect field trip forms on Tuesday, July 8th. We will start collecting forms & money at 9am and continue taking them throughout the day. This way, we can leave by 9:05am to make it to the movies in time. If you are going to the movie field trip, please be at the park on Wednesday, July 8th at 9am so we can leave right away! Field trip forms will be available today, and we will also have them at the park on Tuesday. Cost is $2.00

In the afternoon on Wednesday, we will also have a pickleball clinic for our 8+ kids at 1:00pm! Even if you don’t join us for the movie in the morning, we encourage you to stop by in the afternoon and join us for this fun event!
