Tryouts are happening THIS WEEK — August 24–27! 🎉 It’s not too late to get signed up!

Can’t make it this week because you’re out of town? No worries! We’ll have a makeup tryout on Tuesday, September 8th.

✨ All new AND returning swimmers are required to try out.
👧🧑 Ages 4–18 welcome!
📅 Season begins Monday, September 14th!

Ready for a season of skill-building, teamwork, and FUN? Our YMCA Soccer program gives kids the chance to learn the game, grow their confidence, and build friendships, all while having a great time on the field!

At the Y, we believe the best way to learn is through play. Kids will develop their soccer skills while learning how to encourage teammates, work together, and celebrate each other’s progress.

Do you love working with kids and creating a safe, fun, and encouraging environment where they can learn and grow? We’re looking for someone who is ready to make a difference at the Y!

In this role, you’ll:
🎨 Lead engaging weekly activities in art, STEM, and humanities
🤝 Build positive relationships while supporting each child’s individual needs with dignity, respect, and safety
🌟 Lead activities and transitions while keeping kids engaged
💙 Model the YMCA’s core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility

What you’ll need:
✓ 18+ years old
✓ Reliable transportation
✓ Positive communication and social skills
✓ Able to obtain Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification
✓ One of the following:
• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
• Step 6+ on Oregon Registry Online (ORO)
• 240+ hours of licensed childcare experience

Please disregard the schedule that came out last week and take a look at our new one! After the events that occurred on Wednesday, the City of Silverton is going to close the pool for 1 hour each day out of an abundance of caution while they do their routine maintenance.

There’s still time to register for our turn & dive clinic! We will run it the weeks of August 3rd and August 17th with the SHS swim camp in between on the week of August 10th. A great opportunity to get lots of technical work done for a few weeks!
