Silverton Area Community Aid - SACA SACA is a social service nonprofit providing food, financial assistance, & access to other resources.

SACA is a nonprofit, social services organization with a food pantry, case management, financial assistance, and connections to other resources. Our mission is "improving lives by providing food, services and access to community resources," and our vision is "a community where all people feel secure, valued and supported". We offer visits to our shopping style pantry once per week per household. Nondiscrimination Statement

You'll work one-on-one with neighbors facing food and housing challenges. You'll get to know each person, help them find resources, and walk alongside them—from financial help to referrals, appointments, and follow-up.

📅 Temporary, with the possibility of becoming permanent
🕒 About 25–30 hours a week
💵 $22–$25 an hour, plus benefits after three months
💼 1–2 years of nonprofit, social services, or case management experience

Ducks takes it! Congratulations!

Total: 663 pounds in three hours, from neighbors across the Silverton area.

Every pound landed on the same shelves. All of it stays here and goes out to households across the Silverton area — so whatever the board says, this one ends the way we told you it would. Your neighbors eat.

Thank you to everyone who brought donations and to our volunteers and the Silverton Foxes, who unloaded cars for three straight hours and never once complained.

We've spent a few weeks having fun with a football rivalry. Here's the plain version.

Food costs have been going up. So has rent. Many people in our community are doing that math every month, and the numbers don’t always add up. Making ends meet keeps getting harder.

That's who our pantry is for. Your neighbor, family, or individual in the Silver Falls district, in any given month.
When you bring food on Saturday it will go onto our shelves and then home with someone here in the Silverton area. It doesn't get trucked somewhere else. All food donated stays right here in our community.

So, pick a team and cheer for it. The rivalry bit is how we fill the lot. Your support is how we fill the shelves. So whenever a community member needs us, the pantry will be stocked.

And if you're the one doing that math right now — our pantry is open Mondays 11 am – 2 pm, Tuesdays 4 pm – 6 pm, and Thursdays 9 am – 12 pm. No appointment needed, no team to choose.

Durante las últimas semanas nos hemos divertido con una rivalidad futbolística. Aquí está la cruda realidad:

Los precios de los alimentos han subido. También el alquiler. Muchas personas de nuestra comunidad hacen cuentas cada mes y los números no siempre cuadran. Cada vez es más difícil llegar a fin de mes.

Para eso está nuestro banco de alimentos: para su vecino, para su familia, para cualquier persona del distrito de Silver Falls, en cualquier época del año.

Los alimentos que usted traiga el sábado irán a nuestras estanterías y, de ahí, al hogar de alguien de aquí mismo. No se los llevan a otro lugar; todo lo donado se queda en nuestra comunidad.

Así que elija un equipo y anímelo. La rivalidad es lo que hace que se llene el estacionamiento. Su apoyo es lo que hace que se llenen las estanterías. De este modo, cuando alguien de la comunidad nos necesite, el banco de alimentos estará abastecido.

Y si usted es quien está haciendo esas cuentas ahora mismo: nuestro banco de alimentos está abierto los lunes de 11 a. m. a 2 p. m., los martes de 4 p. m. a 6 p. m. y los jueves de 9 a. m. a 12 p. m. No se necesita cita ni elegir un equipo de fútbol específico.

Saturday is the real game. Drive up, bike up, or walk up to the SACA lot between 9 am and noon, tell us your team, and we'll weigh every pound onto their board.

Ducks fans, this is your comeback window. And the Foxes are playing both sides — the team is out there all morning unloading cars.

Las universidades no juegan este año. Nosotros sí — sáb. 26 de sept., de 9 a.m. a 12 p.m., estacionamiento de SACA. Llegue en carro, en bici o a pie, díganos su equipo (Ducks, Beavers o Silverton Foxes), y cada libra se suma a su marcador.

Traiga: enlatados, alimentos no perecederos, cuidado personal, comida y premios para mascotas. ¿Trae una bolsa grande? Agregue bolsas Ziploc de galón para poder dividirla. La lista completa está en las imágenes 👉

Mejor no: comida fresca o congelada, productos abiertos o hechos en casa y tamaños de mayoreo. Los tamaños normales de supermercado son los ideales: seis bolsas de arroz normales alcanzan para seis hogares.

Ducks or Beavers, here's your shopping list. 🥫

The schools aren't playing this year. We are — Sat. Sept. 26, 9 am to noon, SACA parking lot. Drive up, bike up, or walk up, tell us your team (Ducks, Beavers, or Silverton Foxes), and every pound goes on their board.

Bring: canned meals, shelf-stable pantry items, personal care, pet food and treats. Bringing a big bag of pet food? Add gallon Ziplocs so we can portion it out. Full list in the slides 👉

Please skip: fresh or frozen, open or homemade, and bulk-sized items. Regular grocery-store sizes are the sweet spot — six normal bags of rice feed six households.

The Foxes are out there with us all morning, unloading cars. Everything collected stays in the Silver Falls School District.
