It’s National Small Business Week!

Curious about what’s happening at the town’s old entryway signs? The Town of Silverton and SJDA are hard at work installing brand-new welcome signs to greet visitors. If the weather cooperates, installation is expected to be completed by the end of May. Additional enhancements, including lighting, beautification and donor appreciation will follow soon.

Current work from public works has included pouring 25 yards of concrete to hold the weight of the signs and refurbishing the towns old ski lift poles from Kendall Mountain.

Silverton welcomes Clark Anderson of Community Builders and Matt Gordon, Main Street Specialist with Colorado Main Street, as moderators and facilitators for this Wednesday’s Business Summit.

Clark Anderson w/ Community Builders has a deep history with Silverton, having led the development of the Town of Silverton Compass Master Plan in 2022. This community-driven effort brought residents together to define a shared vision and establish strategies to guide future land use, development, and infrastructure improvements.

Matt Gordon is a Main Street Specialist with Colorado Main Street and has been a valued partner in supporting Silverton’s Main Street Program. As a designated Main Street community, Silverton continues to strengthen its downtown through collaboration, revitalization efforts, and ongoing beautification initiatives.
