Starting on March 5, 2018 the Silverton Dog Park will be temporarily closed for a park improvement project. During the closure, the field adjacent to the Eugene Field Elementary School located at 410 S. Water St. will be available for an off-leash area for dogs. Its open!!! It's open!!! The dog park is open! Please remember to use the gravel parking area as the paved spots are reserved for the senior center.

Just an update: I have asked for an official opening date but at this time the city is unable to set one. The idea is the grass be well rooted and established before use. Once that happens we can play:) more updates as I receive them.

Woof! Park construction begins July 1 with expected completion in October! Thank you to all the Friends of Silverton Dog Park, the City of Silverton, and supporters within our greater community. Dog Park Calenders are available now! Only $9.00, and can be purchased at Eugene Field, O'Briens Cafe, Abiqua Animal Clinic , Dog Days Inn and Silver Creek Animal Clinic. Thanks to everyone who helped with this project and to the students at Eugene Field School and of course Zebra Print!

Silverton's Dog Park effectively captures needed elements in design for sustainable use, play, and recreation while sharing resources in a larger collaborative design of the Westfield Community Park that includes Silverton's Senior Center, Skate Park, and Patchwork Gardens.
