We have seen the food supplies dwindle this last year as the number of families we serve continues to increase. People often ask how they can help MOH. We will be open from 2-5 pm but ask that folks come only if it is absolutely necessary. Much of our volunteers are not able to come in so wait times will be long.

I want to give a shout out to our volunteers which gave over 4000 hours to serving our neighbors in need. We had over 4050 visits to MOH in 2023. Much to be thankful for.

No Distribution at Houck
It is with sadness that we have to suspend food distributions at Houck Middle School in Salem. Our numbers have increased to the point where we just don't have the food. I have tried to get our allotment from Marion Polk Food Share increased but they are unable to do so at this time. In the 13 years I have been doing this I have never seen demand exceed available inventories. Our numbers have doubled in the last 6 months yet our food supply has remained static. We hope this is only temporary.

MOH will be BACK at Houck Middle School this Saturday on Jan 28 at 9am to 11am
We will be doing a drive up food box distribution at the parking lot at Houck Middle School at 9am. PLEASE STAY IN YOUR CAR. There will be prepared food boxes. There will be someone to meet you when you enter the Houck Campus and sign you in. Then you will be directed to the pick up point where a volunteer will load your car.

A lot of folks don't know that Mission of Hope is also a mobile food pantry as well as the choice style pantry on the campus. Every other Monday evening MOH partners with Kennedy High School in Mt Angel to give out premade food boxes to families in need. Many f the families served work in the surrounding farm fields and deeply appreciate the help they receive. MOH also does a distribution at Houck Middle School in Salem the last Saturday of each month. This will be our 13th year serving into the Four Corners area of Salem. We have seen the number of families needed help double since January of last year. We are so thankful for our amazing volunteers!
