This is a map of HOPE. Our final project from last year, project number 10 in Enguserosidani was the most difficult one of 2025. After multiple surveys, drilling 3 boreholes in 3 locations, and 3 dry boreholes, about two weeks ago, some government leaders came to talk with our water engineer. They told how they had been about to get to water outside of the village but drilling costs had used up all their budget so they had been unable to finish the project. They knew we had also been drilling and trying to get to water. They offered their successful borehole to us if we would help them pipe the water to some locations in the village.
Our team has prayed and discussed options for days. We normally do not work with the government, however, this time we think it is a great option. Total cost for this will be around $30,000. We have enough from a generous donor family and a couple of others to complete the work. This project is going to be even better than we expected and we believe that our willingness to work with the government is going to help the church with favor in the village.
In the end, the borehole, which supplies 10,000 liters of water per hour will supply a large 50,000 liter concrete water tank, a tap at the local school, a tap at the clinic, a tap at the church, two taps on the main road in the village and at the end, the locals are going to build watering troughs for their cattle, goats and sheep outside of town. It is truly amazing!!!
This project has tested our resilience in every way. We thank God for solutions that are even better than we could ask or imagine! This is picture of a very “rough map” so you can have an idea of what we are about to do. We will keep you updated. Thanks for hanging with us! —Lisa
