360-782-1058 One measure of a community's greatness is the caliber of its leaders.

Leadership Kitsap was founded with the purpose of developing community leaders in Kitsap County who will serve as catalysts for positive future change. Leadership Kitsap is dedicated to training tomorrow's leaders and giving them the background, contacts and tools they will need to shape and direct our future. Each year, Leadership Kitsap sponsors a ten-month program of educational seminars. These

seminars consist of nine one-day Challenge Days, one two-day retreat and a Leadership Development Day. Participants also work in teams on wide-ranging community projects of their own design. The program begins in September and ends with a graduation ceremony in June of the following year. Leadership Kitsap is designed to build upon a tradition of solid leadership in our community. With each graduating class, Leadership Kitsap increases the number of informed and vigorous civic volunteers who understand the needs of the community and are committed to meeting its challenges.

Did you catch us in the most recent edition of Kitsap Business Magazine? 💚

We’re honored to see Leadership Kitsap featured in the article, “Rooted in Purpose, Rising in Service,” with a deeper look at who we are, why this work matters, and how more than 30 years of leadership development has helped strengthen connections throughout Kitsap County.

From our Signature Program and Community Impact Projects to the growing opportunities we’re creating for leaders at every stage, the article captures a belief at the heart of everything we do.

“We need leadership at every level that exists. It’s a mindset, a mentality, and it’s action.”

A huge thank you to Kitsap Business Magazine and writer Quinn Propst for taking the time to tell our story, and to Leah Thompson of Scandia Studio for capturing our team and our work.

This week, our own Executive Director, Carli Meurs, had the opportunity to present at the Association of Leadership Programs Conference in Omaha, sharing insights from her own experiences and Leadership Kitsap's journey in her session, From Strong Programs to Enduring Organizations.

Beyond the presentation, the conference was an opportunity to exchange ideas with community leadership organizations from across North America, build new connections, and explore innovative approaches to strengthening leadership and community impact.

We're grateful for the opportunity to learn alongside so many inspiring leaders and look forward to bringing new ideas home as we continue serving Kitsap County. 💚

This weekend, our team had the opportunity to attend Media Day at the Bremerton Air Show and connect with some of the people behind this longstanding community tradition.

From pilots and volunteers to longtime supporters of the Bremerton Pilots Association, every conversation was a reminder that leadership takes many forms. We loved hearing the stories, passion, and dedication behind the event, and getting to know some of the people who give their time and talents to make it happen.

A huge thank you to everyone who welcomed us, shared their experiences, and gave us a behind-the-scenes look at the air show. We're grateful to be part of a community filled with people who care so deeply about Kitsap.

And this is just the beginning! Stay tuned as we share more of these conversations in the weeks ahead through a new series highlighting local leaders and the impact they're making across our community. 💚
