Please join us in welcoming Melanie to the Leadership Kitsap team! 💚

As our new Head of Operations, Melanie helps keep the many moving pieces of Leadership Kitsap’s Signature Program running smoothly, coordinating volunteers and facilitators, supporting communications, and managing the behind-the-scenes systems that help make each program year possible.

Melanie brings more than 18 years of experience in executive support and operations management across the legal, nonprofit, and business sectors. She has a passion for creating strong systems, building connections, and making sure people have the support they need to do their best work.

Outside of work, Melanie is a mom of four and Mimi to two grandchildren. She loves cooking for her family, reading, gardening, getting out into nature, and, most of all, connecting with people and hearing their stories.

We’re so excited to have Melanie as part of the Leadership Kitsap team and can’t wait for our community to get to know her! 💚

Earlier this month, Team LK took on the Kitsap County Co****le Classic, and somehow walked away with First, Second, AND Third Place! 💚

We had such a great time spending the day with friends and businesses from across our community, supporting the South Kitsap Chamber of Commerce Community, and enjoying a little friendly competition (that may have gotten just a little competitive).

Huge congratulations to all three of our teams, and thank you to everyone who came out, cheered us on, and made the day so much fun!

Did you catch us in the most recent edition of Kitsap Business Magazine? 💚

We’re honored to see Leadership Kitsap featured in the article, “Rooted in Purpose, Rising in Service,” with a deeper look at who we are, why this work matters, and how more than 30 years of leadership development has helped strengthen connections throughout Kitsap County.

From our Signature Program and Community Impact Projects to the growing opportunities we’re creating for leaders at every stage, the article captures a belief at the heart of everything we do.

“We need leadership at every level that exists. It’s a mindset, a mentality, and it’s action.”

A huge thank you to Kitsap Business Magazine and writer Quinn Propst for taking the time to tell our story, and to Leah Thompson of Scandia Studio for capturing our team and our work.
