We took a moment to celebrate the continued genealogical dedication of our members. While the journey into the SAR begins with a primary ancestor, the work of documenting our lineage often continues long after induction.

Proving a Supplemental Patriot is more than just adding a line to a member's profile; it is a vital service to our society and the historical record. Each supplemental application:

-Preserves Forgotten Stories: It ensures that every individual who contributed to American independence—not just the most prominent branch of a family—is formally recognized.

-Strengthens the Historical Record: Every approved supplemental adds new data to the SAR’s Patriot Research System, providing a clearer roadmap for future generations and potential new members.

-Honors Full Family Sacrifice: Revolutionary service was often a family affair; documenting multiple ancestors honors the full scope of a family’s commitment to liberty.

President Brian had the distinct honor of presenting supplemental patriot certificates to the following compatriots for their successful research and documentation:

Mick Hersey – honoring Patriot Moses Bradbury
Noah Chase – honoring Patriot Nathaniel Woodman
Ray Schreiber – honoring Patriot Michael Swope
Francis Richardson – honoring Patriot Thomas Nuzum

These certificates represent a significant commitment to our mission of historical preservation. We congratulate these members on their diligent work in expanding our chapter’s connection to the founding of our nation.

In our final induction at our recent meeting, we were pleased to welcome Daniel into our chapter. Daniel honors the legacy of his patriot ancestor, Randolph White, who served the cause of independence from the state of Virginia.

Randolph White (c. 1755–1831) was born in England and later settled in the American colonies, where he served as a Private during the Revolutionary War. His service record is notable for his involvement with several key figures of the Virginia line, including:

Captain John Bailey
Colonel John Montgomery
General George Rogers Clark
Major John Wall

White’s dedication to the fledgling nation is documented in the Historical Register of Virginians in the Revolution and supported by pension records. Following the war, he moved westward, eventually passing away on September 7, 1831, in Huntsville, Missouri. He was married to Margaret Kirkland, and his legacy continues today through his many descendants.

We extend a warm welcome to Daniel as he joins us in our mission to keep the history of our founding ancestors alive.

Welcome to the SAR, Daniel!
