On October 17, we’re bringing Dior’s Dash 5K + 1 Mile to Ben Brenman Park for the very first time and we want our whole community there. 💕🐾

We want runners. Walkers. Dog lovers. Adopters. Fosters. Volunteers. Friends. Families. Rescue partners. Local businesses. And the people who have cheered Wiggles Way on from the very beginning.

Senior dogs like Gerry are getting a second chance! 🐾

We’re thrilled to announce that we are a recipient of an Incubator Grant from ! This funding will help us grow and strengthen our programs so we can better serve senior dogs in our community and give more older dogs the care, support, and second chances they deserve.

The Incubator Grant is part of Grey Muzzle’s commitment to supporting smaller organizations as they grow their capacity to help senior dogs. By investing in organizations like ours, Grey Muzzle is helping create a stronger network of lifesaving programs for senior dogs across the country.

A huge thank you to Grey Muzzle and their supporters for believing in the potential of smaller organizations and helping us grow stronger for senior dogs. We’re so grateful to be part of a movement working toward a future where every senior dog has a chance to find safety, love, and a soft landing.

A little Painite update. 🤍

If you’ve been following his story, you know this tiny guy has been fighting since the day he was born.

Painite was orphaned after tragically losing his mother and siblings and came to Wiggles Way needing around-the-clock care. Thanks to some incredibly dedicated fosters, he made it through those fragile newborn days and started to thrive.

Then came another fight we never expected: neurological FIP.

Not long ago, an FIP diagnosis offered very little hope. Today, treatment is available and Painite has been fighting his way through it with the same determination he’s shown from the beginning.

His journey isn’t over yet.

FIP treatment is long and expensive, requiring weeks of medication, careful monitoring and ongoing bloodwork before he can finally reach the finish line. For a small rescue, the cost adds up quickly but giving this little guy his chance is worth every bit of it.

Painite has already survived so much.

Now we want to make sure he gets the chance to do the most ordinary, wonderful thing of all:

🚨 EMERGENCY FUNDRAISER FOR PAINITE 🚨

Sweet Painite spent the night in the ER and has been diagnosed with neurological FIP. His emergency care has already left Wiggles Way Rescue with an $800 vet bill, and this is only the beginning of getting him the care he needs.

We weren’t expecting another emergency, but rescue rarely waits until you’re ready.

Our immediate goal is $800 to cover Painite’s ER bill. Every $5, $10, share, and donation helps us keep saying yes when one of our animals needs us most.

Let’s check in with a Wiggles Way alum!

Remember Dreamsickle? He was adopted this past March, and we just got the sweetest update from his family.

Dreamsickle has settled in beautifully and has become great friends with his slightly older feline sister, Caramela. And judging by this photo, we’d say he’s gotten very comfortable in his new home. 😂

These are the updates that make rescue worth every hard day. Seeing an animal safe, loved, and exactly where they’re meant to be never gets old.

Happy tails, Dreamsickle! We love seeing you living your best life. 🩵

MEET THE REAL AXLE.

You might have seen Axle at an event.

You might have seen a young dog who was excited. Wound up. Maybe a little too enthusiastic about everything happening around him.

But that’s not the whole Axle.

The real Axle is the dog his foster gets to see when the crowds are gone and the world gets quiet.

He’s goofy. He’s loving. He’s playful. He loves his foster brother. He’s still young and learning. And underneath all that big Axle energy is a really good dog waiting for someone to give him a chance.

Events just aren’t where Axle shines brightest…so we’re going to bring the real Axle to you.

Over the next few weeks, we’re going to show you who he is at home, what makes him happy, what he’s learning, and why we believe his person is out there.

And since it’s National Dog Day, there couldn’t be a better day to start.

Our sweet little Muppet, Mater, has officially found his forever home! We love a happy ending and Mater is already well on his way to being completely spoiled by his new mom. Exactly as it should be. 🩵

It truly takes a village to get these animals from rescue to forever, and we’re so grateful to everyone who was part of Mater’s journey — and especially to his new mom for choosing adoption.

Happy tails, Mater. You deserve every bit of this love.

And there are more happy endings waiting to happen! We have so many deserving dogs and cats still looking for their people. Ready to meet your new best friend?
